If there was ever a book that embodied the quote, “love conquers all” it’s this one. Helena Hunting delivers another compelling and angsty installment in the Lies, Hearts and Truth series! Bitter Sweet Heart was a reverse age gap student teacher romance but at the same time, it was so much more. It had this incredible depth that just stole my breath.

I struggled to keep going with this book. The reverse age gap is not for me. I could not have been more uninterested in this story. It took about 2 weeks for me to power through, in comparison to the 2 - 4 days I typically spend reading a single book.
That aside, I still enjoyed this book to an extent. The writing is really good, as is the character dialog. Despite not caring for the main trope, I cared enough about the characters to want to know how everything would work out for them.
