I have written eleven novels under another name but this is the first by Cara Clayton with the Tapestry Tales medieval series. More will follow very soon.

Previously I was a headteacher who much preferred writing stories for children than producing policy documents. We took early retirement and moved to France where we lived for eleven years and that’s where I started writing novels for adults.

My husband and I are qualified puppy raisers for the blind with the Guide Dogs Association. We also enjoy country walking and ballroom dancing.

I am a member of the Society of Authors, the Romantic Novelists’ Association and also the Historical Novelists’ Society.
