    Since I’ve chosen to read this book knowing to some extent what it was going to be about I’ll try not to let my own preferences and prejudices affect my rating of this book. I am not that into dom/sub or any other kinky themes so you can probably understand that this book wasn’t my cup of tea. So why did I decide to read it? For two reasons. One being that I am open to try to read something new or something I am a bit judgmental about. You know, to open my horizons a bit and see if maybe my opinion will change. The second reason is that I am a hopeless romantic and I hoped for some intense romance and drama in My Billionaire CEO. Sadly on both aspects I was left a bit disappointed.

    The whole Dom/sub thing is just not for me and this book cemented that. I could get past a few kinky scenes here and there, but there were moments in the book that I just found degrading towards the sub and woman in the relationship. She had to sit on the floor at his feet while he ate or wait on her knees for hours until he got home. No offense to anyone who is into this, but for me it was just appalling how close the line between a sub and a dog was. So my opinion about the matter is unchanged. I simply found nothing sexy or romantic about this.

    Which leads me to the second reason I decided to read this; the romance. The book is short so I didn’t exactly expect an in-depth relationship with a complex development, but I did still except something to form between the characters. Sadly, all of their encounters were only about sex so it was difficult seeing any romance or feelings growing between them. Sure, their flirting was cute and I liked him standing up for her the two times she met confrontation, but that was it. No other time did they truly interact without some sex or for-play taking center stage. This book was only about them bumping uglies.

    This is extra apparent with the small amount of drama the story contained. I was really into the the story in the beginning with Dave acting badly towards her out of jealousy and his infatuation with his boss. Her starting to stand her ground was very satisfying, however this little dispute was over before it even started. I excepted this to build up to something til the end of the book, but it was never ever mentioned again. The climax of the story was instead with some chick who out of nowhere turned crazy on the main girl with no indication in the story that this was what it was leading to. Don’t get me wrong, it was still thrilling for someone like me who loves drama, however I would have preferred that the conflict would have occurred between her and Dave instead. It would have been a way more satisfying end to the story and would have tied the book together better.

    This is of course just my opinion on the matter and like I said, I won’t let my own dislike of the dom/sub theme affect my rating on the book since I kind of knew what I was getting into when I choose to read this. So to conclude I will give it three stars; it had intriguing moments, but it was too short to form an impactful romance.

    Porter was an alpha playboy, but he seemed to have a very different attitude where Jayla was concerned. Jayla a feisty little submissive, who appears to have met her match in Porter. This is a really exciting story, that should definitely be added to your reading list, if you want an adventurous story to read before you play with your BOB. This is the first book I have read from this author and I am happy I took the chance on her.

    I would have liked this book more if it had gone on a while longer telling of their time together after the contracts and all the kink. It wasn't a bad storyline but it needed to expand a bite more than the bedroom. A bit more of their going out and some every day regular things.
