Mr. Romance (Franklin U Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 3,629 ratings

When you’re clueless, Mr. Romance can help.

Charlie
I’m not sure how it happened, but it turns out I’ve unknowingly been dating three people.
Friends don’t spoil other friends, apparently. My trust fund means I can afford to, though, and what’s a meal here and there? Or some clothes? Or textbooks? That doesn’t mean we’re dating, right?
Others disagree. If I want to get through the rest of college knowing who my friends are, I need help from someone who knows all about dating and can tell me what
not to do.
Someone like Mr. Romance.

Liam
When people look at me, romance is the last thing they think of… but I’m still the first person they call. Need a first date planned? A big romantic moment? Gotta beg for forgiveness? I’m your man. When it comes to romance, I’ve got it handled.
Not personally, though. My romantic life is… barren. All I really want is someone to snuggle with and spoil me. What I’ve got is planning dates for people who have no clue about romancing someone.
But now I’m somehow Charlie Martin’s anti-romance consultant. Charlie, who’s completely clueless yet the most accepting and friendly person I’ve ever met. Who’s giving and generous. Who’s befriended me and wants me to be happy.
I’m supposed to help him stop his friends from falling for him. The last thing I need is to fall for him myself.

Louisa Masters started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should. While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was working out how to read romance novels without being discovered. As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she’ll probably never move.

If you read this book and do not fall in love with Charlie Martin you need to have yourself looked at my friend. It’s honestly not his fault that everyone falls for him!! This is one of the cutest books I have read!

This was my first Louisa Masters book and I am officially hooked. “Mr. Romance” was so unexpectedly funny, I could not put it down! Louisa Masters is truly talented. The first sentence captivated me and I was enamored by the end of the first chapter. This book was completely addictive. The dialogue was everything and the humor was sublime. Charlie is so sweet and lovable. Liam is a great guy to have in your corner. The cast of characters in this novel is amazing (I’m off to read her other works!) and I honestly can’t say enough good things about this book. I laughed out loud so many times I lost count. To top it off, the spice is top notch, the story is well crafted, and the allusions to other Franklin U novels is seamless.

The idea behind this story is fantastic. Charlie is oblivious to the fact that three people think he’s their boyfriend. After a very public and dramatic scene, Ian takes pity on Charlie and introduces him to Mr. Romance. Insert Liam. He’s the guy behind the persona that plans dates for a sizable portion of the Franklin U campus. He’s a romantic at heart. He is often overlooked, however, because he’s not considered “classically handsome.” He dedicates his free time making magical moments for other people, yet never getting to experience them himself. Charlie hires him to help him stop accidentally and unknowingly date people he only sees as friends. The two end up friends themselves and sparks eventually fly.

It was really sweet how both guys didn’t want to push for more, considering how their relationship first starts. Shifting from friends-with-benefits to actual boyfriends might be a challenge, but it’s nothing this pair can’t figure out. I loved seeing Liam get his big romantic moment and Charlie unleash all of his sunshiny affection. As predicted, this series is epic. It’s definitely going to be memorable. I’m so looking forward to book four!

I really enjoyed the fresh take on Charlie and Liam’s story! I found Liam to be absolutely adorable in his cluelessness of friendships and the signals he sends! I just wanted to pat him on the head! Liam, Mr. Romance to most, was recruited by a friend to help Charlie relearn how to approach friendships. Relearn how to approach friendships you ask? Oh yes! Charlie is so friendly, and so generous people think they are in relationships with him, all the while Charlie thinks they are just friends! It’s a hoot to see Charlie navigate those interactions, and learn how to make changes with Liam’s help. I enjoyed their developing friendship, and seeing things turn to more. For real, haha. I loved Liam’s own sweeping romantic gesture, cue swoony eyes. As we’ve come to expect from these FU books, the side characters are just as entertaining as the main ones and their friends in this kept me laughing. I may never think of eggplant parm the same again! I am having such fun reading this series! I’m loving all the wonderful little Easter eggs the authors have placed throughout, and the feeling of catching up with old friends with each book along the way! I can’t wait for the next visit to FU!

This was a very cute, light, and fluffy book. I think my expectations didn't quite pan out for what actually happened in the story, but it was still a very sweet read. I really liked the connection between Liam and Charlie and how supportive and wonderful they were for each other and their friends. So sweet, and such a low stakes palate cleanser of a book. There were elements I didn't always love, and the book did start to lag a bit halfway through, but it was still a fun little jaunt, and I enjoyed the banter and romance.

Oblivious MMC x Mr. Romance MMC

Mr. Romance, book three of Franklin U Season one might be my favorite. Liam runs Mr. Romance, a side hustle where people hire him to create romantic dates, and Charlie is clueless about appropriate dating behavior, thinking he’s just being a good friend to all sorts of people. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, heat, and a whole bunch of schmoopy moments, which all add up to a great read.

This was a fun story, and definitely belongs in the fairytale and fantasy genre since I just don’t believe life ever works like this. Decent character and plot development and the anticipated happy ending make this a fun read.

Charlie is that super nice guy that wants to treat his friends with things that they might not be able to splurge on themselves. He is oblivious to the signs that these friends are into him and think they're dating or on the verge of dating. Charlie is mortified when he finds this out in a very dramatic way. A true friend puts him in contact with Mr. Romance, himself and between the two of them they figure out a way to get Charlie to start noticing the social cues that he has been missing. These two have instant chemistry and attraction to one another. It's adorable to see how they skirt around each other for so long before finally taking the plunge together.

Okay it should be criminal the number of inhuman noises I made in pure joy and humor over these two. This has been my favorite so far in the series... and considering I have loved the others it's saying something. I just love how wholesome and perfect these two are for each other!

I couldn't believe they made a character so dumb. I mean yeah, in fiction it might be a good thing. The only redeeming character was that Charlie's a sweet and, when needed, a very talented one. I enjoyed some of the snuff but skipped some too. It's good that way.

The stereotypes was not there that's good and I really liked Liam but overall it's a forgettable story.

Charlie is my favourite. He’s so sweet and funny and clueless. When he meets Liam (mr romance) it’s to try and become better at interacting with people and not giving people the wrong impression.
Liam doesn’t know his worth and Charlie does everything he can to make Liam feel special. Just a lovely story about a sweet guy that gives too much and an even sweeter guy who wants nothing but romance.
