The local police immediately have Pere Samuel in the frame and arrest him but Father Douglas isn't so sure he is guilty.

The accidental monk needs to learn when and to whom to share information. I think that he needs to stay near Father Douglas a little longer and learn how things should be done. Two women get killed in a short time and it takes some super sleuthing to figure out why. I recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars C.T. does it again
Reviewed in Australia on September 14, 2017
Whatever he turns his pen to C.T. Mitchell does it well, extremely well. This series is no exception, but falls 1🌟 short because as a die hard fan of the TV series Father Brown I see Father Brown not Father Douglas as I read these short stories. 😯 Murder and The Monk has the "Flambeau" 😕 touch.

Excellent series but its no Lady Turnbull , Kate Mackenzie or Jack Creed or even his newest heroine Selena Sharma which are all 5🌟 reads.

Great series from C.T. Mitchell - his main character is charming and the story satisfying. I could have easily lapped up more descriptions of beautiful Byron Bay and the eclectic folk there :-)
