    This book sucked me in from the beginning and kept me reading until the end. Rachel and James met and he knew she was his soul mate. They marry and things are going great until they have trouble getting pregnant. James has a new, very attractive employee that goes on a trip with him. Does James stray? Rachel’s ex-lover Brandon also returns to town. Does she stray? I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say this beautifully written book will not disappoint you. I also loved who turned out to be Rachel’s best friend ever. I was rooting for Rachel and James and I was so happy with the ending. Grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with this book.

    This was the first book I’ve read by this author. It is not part of a series and has characters unique to it. It is a stand-alone book, without a cliff hanger ending and written in third person.

    Rachel and James are very happily married for seven years. On the surface, they seem to have a solid, mature relationship that is loving and considerate. However, as the book progresses, there are cracks in their supposedly strong union which lead to temptations neither of them would have predicted.

    Most of the cracks are related to the pressures they both feel to produce the much-wanted baby to complete their family. They feel responsible for their inability to conceive and there is a lot of self-blame for the problem. James’ mother makes insensitive comments, but in fairness to her, Rachel and James have not shared their painful infertility issues with her. While they were able to communicate early on in their struggle, they have begun keeping their feelings and secrets from each other.

    Brandon, Rachel’s first love, appears with intent to win her back and Rachel still finds him attractive. She fantasizes about whether Brandon would be able to impregnate her. James fights his growing attraction to one of his co-workers and, when she knocks on his door late one night while they are traveling, he wonders how lovemaking would be without the pressure to procreate. James and Rachel fail to tell about their temptations for fear of hurting the other, which leads to secrecy, guilt and continued avoidance. They don’t broach the subject of adoption, yet both are open to the idea.

    The pacing of this book often dragged, and I found the miscommunication/failure to communicate was wearing. For two people so much in love, they sure had weird ways of treating each other. I figured out the identity of “Lori” right away and thought James and Rachel were incredibly stupid not to recognize her. Oh, wait—they were avoiding each other by then and weren’t really talking at all!! So much manufactured drama over nothing!!

    The book had some tender, poignant moments but, overall, I had trouble slogging through it to the end. It wasn’t a favorite of mine and I doubt I search out any other books by this author.

    Nobody's Baby. This was a very compelling story. I enjoyed this book! It captivated me when I didn't think it would. I got caught up in the drama between James and Rachel. This couple wanted a child so desperately Rachel would do anything and they did. But it nearly ruins their marriage. James starts to work more than he should, while Rachel starts working and taking care of her sister and friends. Neither one knowing what to do to gain their relationship back. Suddenly a woman named Lori/Lauren comes into their life and changes it forever. This is a must read! Full of anticipation and intense drama. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. Loved the strong, but flexible love between them and how their compassion for others showed in their daily lives. There were plenty of unexpected twists and turns to keep the reader's interest.     I was not fond of the writing style of this story. It was hard to get into the story and harder to follow. It was very choppy and change of time period happened and change of one of the story lines just dropped onto the next page without warning. And there were too many characters to keep track of that were u necessary. I received this free book from bookfunnel.

    It took me a while to read this book. At first I thought it was about betrayal. But no. It was about two people who married for seven years. Who wanted to add to their life children. But they both had issues. She had a medical condition. His was low sperm count. I know but bear with me here. During this time her ex comes back into the picture. He spends most of his time at work and travelling. There is more to the story and I would be giving you the whole story line if I keep going. Just note I was wrong in not reading this two years ago.

    Wow, what a beautiful & well written story. Tissues a must have, but then I'm a softie! I had very varying emotions about the main characters from anger to anxiety to wanting to know them, to shaking them for being stupid & wanting to dry their tears & offer comfort. I really got caught up in the drama & the sensitivity. Would make for a great movie.
    I was fortunate to read the first 9 chapters & then the author covered the purchase price with a gift card. This is my honest unsolicited review.

    I enjoed this book but for me they both were saying one thing and doing another, they were both hypocrits by saying that wont happento us we will never do that and then they did. The first few chapters you could tell how much in love they were then it was neither here nor there. I was getting so annoyed with the carracters especially the husband and thought what an ass.
