Not Until Noah (Star Crossed Book 1) Kindle Edition
Childhood educator Noah Jones has a plan. Work as a nanny for six months, make some extra cash, and move to the UK to teach. He doesn’t expect his new boss to be a Hollywood star. And he certainly isn’t prepared to fall for the guy.
One kiss sends them tumbling into a secret relationship, even though they both agree it can be nothing more than a fling. Carter needs to stay in the closet for the sake of his career, and Noah’s leaving. But when their feelings continue to grow into something deeper, Carter has a decision to make. Knowing that exposing his sexuality could cost him his career, would he rather carry on living a lie, or risk it all to stand tall in his truth?
Not Until Noah is the first book in the Star Crossed series, where regular guys meet famous ones, and sparks fly.

About the author

Lisa likes to tell stories, mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters.
Lisa lives in tropical North Queensland, Australia. She doesn't know why, because she hates the heat, but she suspects she's too lazy to move. She spends half her time slaving away as a government minion, and the other half plotting her escape.
She attended university at sixteen, not because she was a child prodigy or anything, but because of a mix-up between international school systems early in life. She studied History and English, neither of them very thoroughly.
She shares her house with too many cats, a dog, a green tree frog that swims in the toilet, and as many possums as can break in every night. This is not how she imagined life as a grown-up.
Lisa has been published since 2012, and was a LAMBDA finalist for her quirky, awkward coming-of-age romance Adulting 101, and a Rainbow Awards finalist for 2019’s Anhaga.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI read Lisa Henry because you never quite know what you're going to get. But that it'll be good.
So.
I enjoyed this. I liked the characters. And as usual they were relateable and engaging. The main and secondaries.
I was a little let down because this was fairly low...angst. It seemed more mainstream genre than I expected. And that's on me.
Still...
I'd read it again. And probably again so I recommend you read it also.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this right from the start. Noah was hired to be a nanny to the 8 year old daughter of a very famous moviestar. While this is not a unique storyline, I really liked how this one played out. First, I absolutely adored both MCs. Noah was such a kind, caring, loving person. Carter was so down to earth, grounded, and just trying to find a balance between being a dad and a famous celebrity. Noah just fits into their family right away and he and Carter are drawn to each other. There was a very believable build up to them becoming friends and that developing into more. While this was not super steamy, I found their stolen moments and nights together just perfect for the story. They were very sexy, very intimate, and very real. Their first kiss gave me all the feelings!
I also found myself being sucked into their life. Emerson, the most adorable 8 year old girl, and her relationship with her Dad, with Noah, with her Aunt. Their day to day life and struggles balancing Carter being a closeted and very famous actor and him falling more and more for Noah. It felt very real and very believable. I only wished their was a little bit more at the end letting us know how things all played out, the resolution was a little rushed for me. But overall this was a really enjoyable story!

Not Until Noah is the starter in Star Crossed series of standalones with some interconnecting characters. MM contemporary romance. HEA. Celeb romance. Employer/employee. Sweet and cute.
2 POV, 3rd person, past tense. This kindle edition 288 pages, 5th November 2021.
If you're looking for fast and easy read that's a sweet and cute / celeb read, it's a nice read with nice main characters. There's no unpredictable angst issues, some pretty obvious ones are left unused. It's pretty predictable all in all. Quite nice and easy to read. Just a bit too easy even.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseOnce again an amazing story about two beautiful people falling in love and all the chaos and confusion that comes with it. It's beautifully endearing with the single father perspective and yet almost entirely new in the way it's handled. It's witty and full of moments that make your belly hurt from laughter, and also many moments where you want to pull your hair out and cry along with them. Lisa has never once left me feeling apathetic and this is another stunning, full of feels, favorites of mine.
Also, Carter if your sister is single tell her to hit me up...I would die for that woman.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI mostly liked this book and enjoyed reading it. The ensemble of characters was good, Emerson was quirky and adorable, and Carter and Noah were well fleshed out and mostly relatable. My biggest problems with the story was that the emotional connection between Carter and Noah seemed insubstantial to me and then the resolution/ending felt rushed and incomplete. Still there was a nice, almost fairy tale vibe to the story and considering the problems was relatively low angst. A good enough book, but not one going on my pile to be read again.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was an amazing story of a movie star, his daughter, and the nanny! It’s a coming out story, a story about societal pressures, and a wonderful love story. I loved the string family aspects, and I really loved the sweet, slow romance, and their HEA!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI love this troupe. It’s one of my favorites. Famous person and the nanny. In real life id role my eyes but for books I love it. I loved that this book had both. It was the struggle of being faithful to your job, while falling in love at the same time. I enjoyed the drama of the media and even the crazy of production. The writing was good, the smexy was nice but fast and the side characters were fun. I just wanna know what happened mr D. Did he come to the states with his big brother?

5.0 out of 5 stars Nett
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseNot Until Noah ist eine nette Geschichte für zwischendurch, wenn auch etwas vorhersehbar. Die Charaktere sind sympathisch und Lisa Henry schafft es wie immer mitreißend zu schreiben.

5.0 out of 5 stars First of the star crossed books
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseNoah is surprised when he lands a job as a nanny looking after an adorable 8 year old . A bigger suprise is that her father is Carter Westlake Hollywood star filming a movie on the Gold coast . Noah is initially bedazzled but he fits in the household perfectly.
Carter is under pressure to maintain a straight appearance to the extent of having to fake date his costar. Stella is the girl you love to hate and eventually Noah is pushed to the brink by Carter not acknowledging their relationship .
Carter's sister Olivia has always looked after the daily aspects of his life and Noah's brother Dylan is as delightful as Noah . Carter's friend Marco in the background quietly adopts a cat as he house sits for Carter.
Enjoyed the development of the connection between Noah and Carter but the surrounding characters add depth and interest . The backdrop of the Gold coast is a lovely canvas.

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s complicated, wait, no it’s not.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseBit of a cliche, falling for the nanny, but Noah is unintentionally irresistible, and turns a Hollywood superstar’s life upside down. It goes from a 4 month only arrangement to a permanent HEA in a few months, when they finally work out what’s actually important., and the angst and second guessing is forgotten about.

Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI love Lisa Henry’s writing and this book was no exception. The Aussie vibe was great and gave the story a laid back feel that just took you along for the ride. No heavy angst, just great escapism.
