- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2025I devoured this book! All 4 of the Iris men are just delicious. I just love the way each man takes care of Harlow in different ways. I also love Harlow's character because she speaks her mind and does what she feels she needs to do. I always love strong fmc's. Now on to the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2024This was such a fun read! Once I started, I couldn't put it down.
I loved each guy individually, but you could feel connection with each other also .
The protectiveness they have over Harlow was goal worthy.
#teamGrayson I hope we see more of him in the coming books!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2017So if you've read some of the other reviews like I did before I bought the book you probably saw allot of them compared it to the GB series by CL Stone. Well while there is some similarities between the two it's also completely 2 different stories.
Now that I have that out of the way let me start with the review of this new RH author's amazing start to an amazing series.
One girl struggling to make ends meet and keep a roof over her and her sick mothers head. One chance meeting ( or is it) with 4 super hot men might just change her life forever.
I have read quite a allot of RH books now and this one is right up there with the best of them. Lucy gives us a great middle ground with the pase of the book. It's more realistic how they start having feelings for each other. It's not ridiculously slow passed where you're begging the author for some lip action.
The storyline is well thought out and you can see she has a plan with where she wants to take the characters. The characters all have their own personalities and keep their own in the book. But I have to admit I have a little bookboyfriend crush on Marv.
Can't wait to see where Lucy is going to take us with this great new RH installment
PS. The epilogue with Harlow and her mom had me in tears. The epilogue is the best I've read in a while it kept me wanting more but not pissed off because of another cliffhanger it was the perfect ending to an amazing book
Absolute masterpiece!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2021This book really sucked me in from the start. I liked the idea of a secret organization and I liked the characters. I especially loved that the relationships built over time.
My problems with the book started when IRIS became a background storyline. It was mentioned every other line in the first book and then just tapers off til it’s non existent. We never really get read into the organization. It’s like it was just forgotten. The FMC is never treated like she’s in the organization or on the team. She complains about it a lot but nothing comes of it. Side characters also just disappear with no resolution like Erika and Josh. The FMC also is constantly “zoning out”. It happens every couple of pages and one of the other characters is always snapping her out of it. It’s just a really repetitive scene .
Overall I think the author has a good story to tell but the application fell short for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2023That really hit the spot. This was exactly what I was looking for. Girl with a hard time meets guys that adore her and prove that she is worthy. I eat that stuff up! This was a hit for me and I would highly recommend it. I definitely look forward to reading the next one. It even got me in the feels a little and the storyline besides the relationship building stuff, was good! No real spice, just kissing in this one(personally is fine with me).
4.5⭐️ .5🌶
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2024This was a great read and start to a new series. I loved it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2024I really like the idea of a budding young woman is starting a new life ,new job, with four sexy men, wrapped around her fingers. The adventure that would give the 5, a chance to bond as tight knit team. But, the sexual tension between them might, threaten to tear the group apart in the future.
A great read, looking forward to their adventure.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2018This was such a great read and I love all of the guys in Harlow’s life. This is a reverse harem, but it is a totally slow build. Each of the characters are described so well and the guys all sound pretty dreamy. Harlow is an action kind of girl who doesn’t take shit and I love being able to read books where the girls are fearless and not afraid of doing what they have to to live. I don’t mean anything gross by that, but she works and takes care of her chronically mom and doesn’t really complain about it. I really like Harlow as the main character. This book is told from Harlow’s point of view as how she sees the world and the events happening around her is vital to the story. I honestly can say that I would have a huge crush on Bell, hands down. Not that the other guys aren’t great, I just like how he is described and then how he acts. Texas or Marv would be a close second. The writing is so well done I hate having to wait until March to read the next one. check out the whole review at underthebookmark .com

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend!!
Having read other works by Lucy Smoke I was looking forward to this one - and she hasn't disappointed. I was drawn in from the first page and couldn't put it down. I had a mild concern that the story was going to mirror others I've read recently (broken girl with harsh background having to fend for herself, meets group of guys who work for secret agency and want to recruit her for their team, protecting her and falling in love as they go). While the premise is similar, Harlow isn't that broken or jaded, and the guys, while looking out for her, don't overstep and become too protective or want her to stay out of difficult scenarios. They involve her and still want her to fend for herself - thats what they like about her. She is intelligent and questions before acting when it doesn't feel right. The guys are great characters as well. Knix, Bellamy, Texas and Marv are all very different, and I love thst we got to see that and how they all reacted to her as the story progressed. Everything that Iris did was realistic as well - nothing occurred that I wouldn't see as reasonable. In short, I highly recommend this new series by Lucy, and am now eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

This is my second time reading this book and it just keeps getting better. I love Harlow and her guys. This one has now been added to my reread list for sure, along with the rest of the series.
