- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2022Andrew, trying to pick himself up after a brutal breakup with a new job, meets his new boss, (Rowan), under funny circumstances. That hooked me in and kept me interested until the end.
Both men had their baggage, but their attraction for each other helped them put their past issues behind them and focus on their budding relationship.
They face issues being boss/employee, but they work through them when they realise how serious their relationship is.
I enjoyed their dynamic; Drew could be bossy, sassy and Rowan is sometimes happy to be railroaded by Drew.
There are some fun side characters, like Rowan's best friend (Dylan) and his brother (Rafe)- I hope both men get their own (separate) stories, or at least Rafe.
Overall I enjoyed reading this.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2023I actually bought this book on a lark. It was the title that struck me, then the cover. For once I did not read the storyline. I am so glad I didn't because once I started I became so interested in the characters. When their hearts were hurting, I started to hurt. That is how good this love story is. It weaves a story between someone who has nothing and owes everything but is happy around people with a Billionaire who has everything is inundated by the press and never knows who his true friends are so it is hard for him to show happiness. These 2 people are nothing more than yacht owner, Billionaire and Chief Steward Officer, Personal Assistant or are they?
It is for you to read this tremendously good HEA, M/M love story and figure out everything that happens. A MUST READ!!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2023Written in dual first person POV, I absolutely loved both characters. They were both so upfront about what they wanted. Each character was superbly developed.
Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2023I found the book ok, although I prefer terra firma. The characters were just my type; height, tall is more my thing; age 30s is when to settle down. I hope the next book is better though. Things took too long to heat up.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2023I don't know why i was drawn to this book but I'm glad I took a chance on it. I couldn't stop reading! I was entrances with Rowan and Drew's story.
I laughed, I cried, and the ending was touching.
I'm looking forward to all of the obvious spin off characters. Do yourself a favor and get this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2024First book in Olsen's series, the MCs are men on a rebound, each from a disastrous breakup. The writing abounds with humor and heat, albeit the writer (and/or the editor) don't use "me", resorting to "I" in the objective case much too frequently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome first book in series!
This is the first book I have read by this author but will 100% not be my last. I loved everything about this book. It was the perfect story for the mood I was in. Forbidden, boss/employee, low-angst but not too easy, they still had to work for it, great sexual chemistry but didn’t take focus from the story, amazing banter between the MCs and so much more. I really couldn’t have asked for a better story.
I’m not usually a fan of the billionaire trope but I really loved it in this one. Rowan was super down-to-earth in almost all aspects and I loved the almost immediate connection he had with Andrew. The way Andrew handled himself and some of the scumbags in Rowan’s world was fantastic. I loved seeing him take care of himself!
Both Rowan and Andrew have had issues with past relationships and swore they wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Of course they do but this mistake turns into their HEA! It turns out so well for them and I couldn’t have been happier with their ending!
If you love the reality show Below Deck this is a must-read! It was so cool to read a story about a crew member on a yacht and be able to picture all the scenes and different areas on the yacht! We also meet a lot of the characters for books 2, 3 and 4 in this book and it’s made me incredibly excited to continue with this series! I absolutely recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hach

5.0 out of 5 stars Love at sea
Two men hurt by the past have a fun (& embarrassing) meet cute & despite fighting the attraction give in to love. Chaos ensues, but of course, love wins in the end. A delightful story which I thoroughly enjoyed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sass and romance in the Caribbean
I liked Andrew and Rowan from the moment of their meet-ugly onward. Even though Rowan is the billionaire and Andrew’s boss, I rarely felt a power differential between them; Andrew was sassy enough and Rowan down-to-earth enough that I could usually just take them as two people in a not-ideal situation for their growing feelings.
They made me laugh with how long they tried to convince themselves they felt nothing but attraction to one another. I enjoyed all the time they spent getting to know one another and not just jumping straight into bed.
I really enjoyed meeting Rowan’s friends and family and how they interacted with Andrew (even at the point that he was “just” an employee). Andrew could so clearly hold his own even when he sometimes worried about his place that it always felt like a meeting of equals.
Silly pet peeve: there are so few female characters and then one of them causes major issues. Of course not all women are good, but when they’re outnumbered so much by the men in the story who get so much more screen time, I get annoyed when one or more of them is then a villain. (I do get why the proportion often happens in MM books, especially if it has series potential, as we want more close men who can spin-off—and I’m looking forward to so many hints of HEAs to come for fun characters!)
I was at turns annoyed and reluctantly impressed that media and gossip were having such an impact on Rowan and Andrew’s relationship. It did make it seem more “real”, I was just annoyed it was hurting them, lol. They seemed so much happier together than apart, and I was really rooting for their HEA. (I also spent way too long giggling about the punny title, lol.)
Now I’m happily off to read the next book and see what happens with Dylan!
