Ainslie Paton always wanted to write stories to make people smile, but the need to eat, accumulate books, and have bedclothes to read under was ever present. She sold out, and worked as a flack, a suit, and a creative, ghosting for business leaders, rabble-rousers and politicians, and making words happen for companies, governments, causes, conditions, high-profile CEOs, low-profile celebs, and the occasional misguided royal.

She still does that. She also writes for love, and so she can buy shoes, and the good cat food.

    I adore Haydn & Teela's book but this, THIS !!! This is definitely more my book, I mean??? Former lovers??? meeting up again after 10 years??? decided to have get-you-out-of-my-system fling while they were in each other's orbits again??? BUT NO KISSING ON THE MOUTH???

    UGHHHHH I am deaaaaad. DEAD.

    There is so much history and unresolved feelings (!!!) between them plus Ainslie's A+ writing (Evie died and was reborn in the taste of Jay-) that makes the story even more unputdownable. I even teared up at the sex scenes????

    Anyway, waiting for the third book is TORTURE.

    Second book in a series, although you don't need to read the first book. This one is about talented musicians, Evie and Jay, who loved each other years earlier. They are given a second chance at love and they try to make it work. Great writing and characters that you would like to know.

    I loved this second book in this series MS Paton has pulled out all the passion, the sizzle, the heat and the emotion for this second chance romance story, this time we get to see Evie Tice and rock star Jay Endicott, reignite what should never have been put out.

    Evie is doing well with her management and social media business looking after rock bands including one that has her three brothers in it, managed by their father, ten years earlier there was another member Jay and he was the love of her life, but he left and now he is back and she is determined to not let him under her skin again, oh but that is easier said than done when they are in the same room together. A deal is made but there will be no kissing not matter how badly she burns for his lips.

    Jay has returned home from The States after ten years away he is now in a band that pulls in thousands of fans and he and his band are set to play at a stadium with the band he used to be in as back up, that means he is going to be meeting up with the love of his life, the woman he never stopped loving, things are very tense and on edge but the desire for Evie is still there, can he get her out of his system with a short affair? Maybe but with strict conditions.

    This story sizzles so much the feelings, heat and the angst that fly from the pages between them is will rock them and the reader, these two were so badly hurt ten years ago but the love is still there and Jay is determined to get Evie back, this involves some very hot and steamy nights together, with no kissing and a lot of talking and a couple of hiccups before they finally get the HEA they are meant to have. MS Paton wow this is another awesome read in this series your words are magical, the emotion, the love, the heat is amazing, thank you it left me smiling.

    If you love a steamy, hot and sexy story with angst and emotion then this is one that I highly recommend, bring on book three, and can’t wait to get to know Grip.

    Evie works for her three brother as their band's social media manager and she is also running her own little growing managment company. Evie's family plans on going on tour with her ex. Jay left Evie to become a rock star and left her behind. Evie's family needs this tour to go well and for everyone to get along. Can Evie forgive Jay? Can these two put there past behind them?

    I love a good angsty second chance romance and the angst in this story was gloriously high! Jay and Evie’s story was beautiful in every way! I couldn’t get enough of the banter and the beautiful forgiveness!

    This is the second book in the series and while you don’t need to read the first book to enjoy this one I would recommend it just because “One Night with the Sexiest Man Alive” is a fabulous read.
    I enjoyed this book immensely, Evie and Jay made me smile and also made my heart ache. Second chance romances are not usually my thing but the author made it work for me. Seeing them find and appreciate each other as adults was an engaging read. There is definitely more angst in this book than the first in the series but it worked for the characters and for the world they inhabit.
    One Kiss from the King of Rock was an engrossing, fun read and I highly recommend it.
