Prophecy of Convergence (Oracle's Path Book 1) Kindle Edition
I’ve been marked by the gods since birth, their Oracle and the last living heir of a bloodline most would rather see forgotten. I’ve learned to live with the isolation, the weight of expectation, and the dissonant whispers of a fate I never asked for. But when a vision foretelling my clan’s destruction shatters my fragile peace—despite my reluctance to involve others—I know one thing for certain: I can’t stop it alone.
And then there’s my sister—reckless, naïve, and utterly unprepared for the proving trial that will determine her future. So of course I’m tasked with dragging her into the dangerous world beyond our protected borders, hoping the journey might forge her into something stronger before it breaks us both.
What starts as a simple quest spirals into chaos: pirate attacks, a battle with a dragon, and a tangled mess of unexpected allies—including a gentle-hearted dwarf, a morally questionable elf, and a brooding warrior I don’t know whether to trust or stab. Along the way, I’ll face magical trials, divine riddles, and the impossible pull of soul-deep bonds I never saw coming. The signs are clear now. The prophecy is coming for us.
And if I fail to stop it, it won’t just destroy my clan—it’ll unravel the very fabric of the world.
If you crave slow-burn, morally messy, polyam romance, found family, and heroines who’d rather choose their own fate than follow a god’s script, Prophecy of Convergence will keep you up long past midnight.
Buy Prophecy of Convergence today and step into a world where dragons breathe destiny, prophecies bleed truth, and love might be the most dangerous magic of all.

About the author

USA Today bestselling author Shannon Pemrick is a full-time slow-burn romantic fantasy author, fuller-time geek, and unrelenting dragon enthusiast. She owns too many novelty mugs, not enough chocolate, and maintains a forbidden love-affair with all things shiny. When she's not burning her fingers across a keyboard handing out adventures and HEAs, she's rolling dice and getting lost in RPGs or searching for brides for her dragon overlords.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2019Decades have passed since the last novella. Aviana is now almost seventy years old (though looks like a young woman in her twenties) and now has a half-sister named Temperance, who has been kept isolated by her mother, and is very immature for her age. Avian has gotten approval from her father to take Temperance and a tour so she can learn about other cultures and be ready for her coming of age test. If she passes she will finally get to meet their father and learn that she is part dragon. Akorith comes to Aviana in a dream and gives her a quest. She must find a queen and a lost city. As they travel, Temperance learns to use her magic better and has to fight for her’s and Aviana’s life several times. They meet and make many friends along the way, but several new friends travelling with them appeared in Aviana’s dream. What part do they play in her quest?
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020Prophecy of Convergence is a female power fantasy with a background full of mystery and interesting characters. I'll admit, most of the jokes didn't land for me, but the subterfuge and lore were enough to keep me invested.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2019I really enjoy this author's writing style and character building! Aviana is a strong female lead who is mostly secure in who she is but, like everyone, is not perfect. However, her sister tends to steal the show with her naive and positive ways. There are many story lines branching off and lots of puzzle pieces being laid out that will have "Aha" moments in future books. This is a great foundation book to set the scenes for the rest of the series that I am anxiously awaiting!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2021A page turning, seat gripping adventure ride from page 1. The characters come to life and you can't help but be drawn into their lively stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2024A beautifully descriptive story that follows two sisters as they embark on an adventure to see the kingdom and experience all it has to offer.
Lots and lots of characters and creatures. The owlcats sounded absolutely gorgeous and I would have loved to get more of them. The dragon shifters are extremely intriguing since I love them so I hope to see even more of them and Avi shifted too.
Avi is an interesting lead character. She’s very confident in herself, her body, her desires and her abilities. I loved seeing her throughout.
Temperance is uniquely Temperance. It took me a bit to get into her character but then I too say the vibe that is Temperance. Her Kyanite also stirred up questions in my mind. Is he truly just a toy or is a god speaking through him like they talk to Avi.
The romance aspect of this book was a bit confusing to me. Avi does have a couple lovers throughout the story and she obviously has a past with Xalanath but I’m not sure where a relationship(s) is going further. I’ll be interested to see which relationship(s) grows in book 2.
An epic fantasy adventure across many locations, multiple povs from the diverse cast of characters, magic and lots and lots of adventures.
Multiple povs told in first person
Main characters-
Aviana of clan Xenre - female lead character, half dragon
Temperance of clan Remenia - younger sister, half dragon
Krax - half orc
Xalanath - male bronze dragon shifter
Orsik Stranheim - cleric of Ildri

Steam - one steamy chapter
