    What a terrific plot this novel has. Chinese sub on a mission to destroy as many naval ships that has sailed to NYC for international Parade of Ships
    Also planning numerous attacks on bridges and tunnels at the same time.
    The USS Shark plays a key role in an attempt to destroy the CPLAN sub.

    The story line was pretty good. However, most of the presentation of Submarining was not good. Basic terms and spoken orders seemed more like Surface Navy oriented. I have read the whole series. If the story wasn’t good I would not have finished it out.
    With many Decades in, on and around Submarines, details matter.

    Our hero has a serious leg wound requiring a doctor to be with him and yet he is running all over New York City, having shoot outs, getting aboard a submarine and going out to sea all in one day. Guy has to be Superman. The action took away from the story.

    It required a lot of imagination to cover some of the action, several that were almost unbelievable and would have been hard to actually happen, if not impossible. There was also way too much sexual activity, that took away from the story.
