    Narissa & Ajax's story is quite the experience! I love that it shares some in-game VR scenes and information about Lusara Fates. I would love to play a game like that! But the story doesn't just involve their gaming experiences. Narissa has issues with guys because of the pain her ex inflicted on her seven years ago. Ajax just wants MORE with Narissa but doesn't want her skittering away. This story is so involved and I enjoyed every character. And the epilogue was EPIC! I can't wait to see what happens next! Also, FANTASTIC cover!

    Romance with a gamer experience involved. I picked this book to read as enjoy reading romance, science fiction and gaming. I play an online game that you interact with other people online so could understand this happening in real life. I actually met a couple that became a couple because of the game. Really enjoyed the way the author did a look at the future of gaming as it might not be as far off as the book in time. Also with the cybernetics was interesting how it was interwoven with the story. A great female character with a lot of strengths but still some things that made you connect even more with her. I liked that the male was strong and also had things that made him not perfect. I thought the beginning was going to be confusing as there were a lot of characters mentioned and I had not read the previous book, but it wasn’t long before that was not a problem at all. I will have to go and check out the first book as did enjoy this one. There was a couple small that personally would make me rate this four stars to four and half instead of five. Overall I really liked the book and would check out more of this author. I did receive an ARC from Hidden Gems for an honest review.

    I received this book as a gift as an advanced reader copy and I am going to do my best to give a fair and honest opinion of what I read.

    This book is written in the future where the cars can drive you to your destination with out you driving at the wheel. Where cybernetics in replace body parts is becoming in great demand to people in need. The gaming world had also advanced farther than we have to day through the efforts of Ajax Jackson and his friends. You just didn’t play the game but were in it playing it. This is where the title came from. There were parts of the game play that I didn’t understand but that may just because I am an older person and have never really played any of the games. So those parts where hard for me to grasp in what was going on. Overall this is really good story, and I would recommend it to be read.

    Through the efforts of Dr Narissa Okafor and her family. She was fifteen when she started college, by the time she turned twenty her brother was in need of a heart transplant. Her father was trying to build one to replace the one he had, but he would have to take medication the rest of his life. Narissa wanted more for her brother so not only work on her degree in cybernetic application she also discovered she would have to know surgery as well so she now had a double degree. She created a better artificial heart for her brother and implanted it herself. Then her, her father, and other members in the family working in the field were overwhelmed with people needing their help. She did have one major hiccup in her life. She met Noland an after a few months married him. After six months of marriage his behavior towards her became to change, he started to criticize every thing she did; he was relentless in breaking down her confidence, self worth, and feeling of overall safety. She had a privite investigator look into what Nolan was doing and in one day all of her dreams came crashing down in ways she never would have dreamed of.

    Ajax Jackson, or Andrew to the few people that knew him well, even fewer knew his first name because he hated it. He had come to Narissa to receive a cybernetic arm. He had lost his arm in a rock climbing accident. He came to her just as she was getting over everything from her ex, though Ajax never asked her about what had happened. They had been friends for almost seven years. As of late he was coming back into her office to have his arm fixed because he was continually breaking it of some reason. He wouldn’t tell her the truth. Finally her had was forced if he would not tell her what he was doing to destroy his arm he would have to sign a contract say that he could no long get help from their company. This is when she also received a phone call from a man named Dylan who was the detective on her case with her ex. Ajax made an agreement with her if she would tell him what Dylan had called her about that had her so upset he would tell her how he was destroying his arm.

    The rest of the story is really good and if I were to keep going then I would spoil it all of you. Let me just say that Ajax or ‘Andrew” was doing his best to break down the walls that she had set up to protect her heart, and later to try and to protect her.

    This is Narissa and Ajax’s story. Friends to lovers but with some suspense and danger thrown in.

    Narissa is lonely but unwilling to fall in love again because of the damage her ex did. She believe she has feelings for her best friend and co-player Ajax but is too scared to take the leap.

    Ajax has had feelings for Narissa for a long time and he had been dropping lots of hints lately. But when the truth about her ex-husband comes to light he will stop at nothing to keep her safe from harm even if it means just staying friends.

    I was captivated by this book and read it in almost one sitting. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

    Beautifully written story of a tender hearted man bringing an abused woman out of her shell! I love when an Author can find a word that makes me stop and look it up! Fortunatly Kindle has a built in dictionary so we just have to tap the word to get a meaning! The most fascinating thing about this series is how strong the ties are to the game! The guild members are there to have each others backs even in real life and are all good friends! This diverse group shows just how we can come together and be one big family! Looing forward to the next book!
