How can one soldier make a difference? How can one woman save her kin and clan? In the crucible of combat, Angusel must surrender to the will of the gods, and Eileann must invoke divine power to forge the most dangerous warrior the world has ever known.

About the author

Kim Headlee lives on a farm in southwestern Virginia with her family, cats, goats, Great Pyrenees goat guards, and assorted wildlife. People and creatures come and go, but the cave and the 250-year-old house ruins—the latter having been occupied as recently as the mid-twentieth century—seem to be sticking around for a while yet.
Kim has been a published novelist since 1999 with the first edition of Dawnflight (Sonnet Books, Simon & Schuster) and has been studying the Arthurian legends for nigh on half a century.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2019This was another action-packed addition in line with what I’d come to expect of the Dragon’s Dove Chronicles. In fact, I literally finished the story in about 12 hours (despite being a lengthy book). The only reason this one didn’t receive a five star review like the first two volumes is that I feel there are SO many loose ends. It left me wanting more, so I would definitely not be opposed to a fourth volume. Still, I was enraptured with the story. There was fighting, love, lust, passion, corruption, betrayal… ah! The list goes on. Yet another fantastic story by Headlee!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2019This is the 1st book I've read written Kim Iverson Headless; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.
I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2019This book is well written and the characters are interesting.
I think it's better to read the other books in this series for a better understandment of the plot and the characters.
It was a pleasant read.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC
