About the author

Kim Headlee lives on a farm in southwestern Virginia with her family, cats, goats, Great Pyrenees goat guards, and assorted wildlife. People and creatures come and go, but the cave and the 250-year-old house ruins—the latter having been occupied as recently as the mid-twentieth century—seem to be sticking around for a while yet.
Kim has been a published novelist since 1999 with the first edition of Dawnflight (Sonnet Books, Simon & Schuster) and has been studying the Arthurian legends for nigh on half a century.

This is a well written book that remind me of King Authors story's....
This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Headlee and I have to say I enjoyed it even if this isn’t the usual genre that I read. She has given us a story that will pull into the story and hold you there from start to finish. The characters are strong and the story line is great.
This is a story about a man named Angusel who has lost everything important to him from his kin, his clan, and his identity and even his country.
All because he failed his woman and her infant the most important people in his life. Angusel must begin to the journey of rebuilding his life and reclaiming his honor back, his path is filled with danger and some unexpected task and some reckoning that could be unavoidable on the way.
This is a great story and I could probably go on and on but then I will give away the story and we can’t do that. I recommend this book you won’t be disappointed.

This story I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story as well. The author has given us the readers as story that will pull into it's pages and hold you there from start to finish . The characters are strong and the story line is great. This story is about a man called Angusel who has lost everything important to him from his kin , his clan, and his identity and even his country. All because he failing the most important person in this life his woman and her infant son. Angusel must begin to the journey of rebuilding his life and reclaim his honor back ,his path is filled with danger and some unexpected task and some reckoning that could be unavoidable on the way .I could go on and tell you what happens next but that would spoil the whole story for you. I highly recommend that you read this great story, because you won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2016Kim Iverson Headlee's "Dawnflight," "Morning's Journey," and "Raging Sea: Part I: Reckonings" are the #1, #2, and #3.1 tales in The Dragon's Dove Chronicles. I love this series! So wondrously detailed. It draws you in right from the beginning. Headlee's writing is always so descriptive. She really paints a picture. I could see this as a TV series. Love the historical references. Everything seems true to time period and well-researched.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2016I have enjoyed this series...another interesting take on the Aurther legend. What I hate is paying for short stories "novellas" in between a completed book. I also hope she intends to wrap up the loose ends at conclusionm
