    This is NOT my first book by this author.

    I am still reeling from the ride I was just taken on. Wow. I cannot love Mac and Mia more because their love survived all of that and they still came out ahead.

    These were childhood friends who saved themselves for one another and it wad all ripped from them by two jealous people. It's so sad that those two had to go through everything they did but at the end of the book, every promise they had made to one another had been fulfilled.

    Bravo! Alex, you never dissapoint and I truly love this series that you have created.

    We are first introduced to Mac and Mia in the first book Shatter Me. These two have a past and something happened to not only pull them apart but change both or their lives immeasurably. Mia cuts her hair gets tattoos, doesn't let anyone get close and refuses to tell anyone what happened between her and Mac. Mia hates Mac but for some reason her body still has not got the memo.

    Once Mac is finally able to tell Mia what really happened that night these two begin to embark on the road of forgiveness and reconnecting. Mia cannot help being upset of all the time they lost because of others. But someone does not want them reconnecting and tries to kill and rape Mia several times. When that doesn't work the go to even more drastic measures to get what they want.

    There were so many twists and turns in this book and stayed on the edge of my seat. I loved Mac in this book. He is a good strong man that loves had and will do whatever he can to keep those he loves safe. Mia loves those she lets close fiercely and does what she can to make sure they feel loved. The big reveal at the end had me so shocked and confused, yet it made sense. I am so happy the get a HEA.

    I would definitely recommend this book. To me it can be read as a standalone, but the first book was so good why skip it.

    Alex Grayson I freaking love you. Again you rocked the town of Jaded Hallow. I didn't think I would love anyone the way I loved Jaxon and Bailey but damn Mia and Mac ripped my heart out and took of running. I'm very thankful they gave it back to me at the end.

    The roads Mac and Mia had to take in life was heart breaking and I felt every emotion these two people experienced like I was there with them. Alex touches on difficult subjects that may be hard for some to read but she touches on life. The good, the bad and the really ugly. We all know life isn't a fairytale. Things happen and for an author to be brave enough to touch upon them makes their writing honest. It opens the up reality that not every love story is perfect and that there will be good things shared and bad experiences.

    I love how Alex's keeps her characters strong and consistent. I love the new character's she has created. I'm swooning over Andrew. He can body shot off me any time. I can't wait to read his story and I really hope Nick can work through his anger and pain. Anna wouldn't want him living his life the way he is now.

    This is a must read but you definitely want to read Shatter

    Mia and Mac were destined to be and everyone around them knew it from childhood. Their bond seemed unbreakable and stood the test of time until almost adulthood when they would give each other their most sacred gift. What should have been their happiest night, on her 18th birthday, quickly becomes their most unforgettable for all the wrong reasons and leaves them both gutted and permanently damaged beyond repair.

    It's been over 10 years since Mac broke Mia's heart but he is bound and determined to finally have his say and try to explain what happened that night. Even if it gets him no closer to winning back Mia he can't keep living with himself knowing that she thinks the worst of him, and if there is even the smallest chance that he can gt her back then there is nothing he wont do to try.

    Once the truth is out and Mia starts to open up her heart again to Mac outside forces and the past start to get in the way again but this time Mac vows that nothing and no one will ever come between them again!

    OMG Brilliant second book of Mac and Mia in the Jaded series and what a second book. This book shows the struggles of a true love, that just wouldn't die! To love someone so much from an early age and even after a period years still have the same love you did before, it was ruined by obsession. Mac and Mia are both heartbroken but in different ways, this book shows you how you love, heartbreak, anguish and joy...but how much and what could you go through to get to joy and would the joy be enough to take away the pain, heartbreak and anguish of a decade!. This book was just as brilliant as the first was, but not dark as the first, whilst it does mention rape and drugs, to me it was a lot more suttle than in the previous book. The author Alex writes brilliantly and cannot believe that she wasn't actually there witnessing it herself. Congratulations on a second book and I will be buying more books in this series. So hurry up and write quicker!
