Redemption (The Marked Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 302 ratings

My chest fills and deflates rapidly—too rapidly—and a hazy darkness begins to creep around my vision. My hands begin to lift, but I don’t want to look. I really, really don’t want to look, because if I do, then there is no more denying. There is no more pretending what happened didn’t happen.

Hanna Harper did the only thing she could do—she stabbed Jared, the love of her life, through the heart to stop the apocalypse. But she was too late. The Fallen were released, and now that Jared has ascended, they intend on using his blood to complete their plan to end the world.

With The Order now divided, Hanna and her friends must find a way to help Jared become The Savior they believe he is. But when a Guardian who’s always viewed Jared as the enemy throws him in the church dungeon at The Compound, all may be lost.

Will Hanna be able to rescue Jared and convince him he’s not the monster he believes himself to be, or will he give into darkness and despair and truly become The Destroyer?

T.L. McDonald lives in Ohio with her husband, her three wonderful children, and her little miniature pinscher Lola (who thinks she's a big beast.) When she's not spending time with her family or friends, she can often be found staring at the computer screen as she writes new material (okay sometimes she's actually just surfing her newsfeed on Facebook or Twitter), curled up with a good book, or occasionally binge watching an entire series on Netflix. Although T.L. has been writing since her childhood, Marked is her very first published novel and now that she's gotten this far, she has no plans of stopping. Nothing makes her happier than knowing she's put something out into the world for people to enjoy.

I absolutely loved this book. Jared and his self loathing was a little annoying but completely understandable. Cassidy and her bs... though it may be wrong but she should've been put out of her misery.

Anyway, this book is the last of the series. I felt it was steady and exciting. I didn't want to put it down until I was done. There was all kinds of drama, pep talks, faith, and so much more going on it the book. All in all, i was happy how it ended and felt sad when it did because the story ended. Thank you T.L. McDonald for a wonderful written series. I will miss Jared, Will, and all the rest...even Sam.

Recommend reading if u read the first 2 books. This one ends the trilogy very well and it was a good read. Action in almost every page of this book and I don't know how they did it. A little too fast paced for my liking but it's also not a boring moment because of that. Although the negativity of both main characters gets pretty annoying

    Please get a good editor.

I have greatly enjoyed all three books in this series. My only quibble is with the editing. Apostrophes should be used in contractions or to show ownership. The author rarely uses apostrophes correctly, as she uses them mostly on plural words. It's distracting. If you're using some sort of automatic editing software, throw it away.

That said, other than the heroine being somewhat over the top, even for a girl going through such rapid changes in her life, the books were wonderful. I couldn't put the story down.

Hannah and Jared have their work cut out for them. With enemies close by that want the same outcome but at any cost, the Fallen aren’t the only dangers this supernatural team will have to face and overcome. And boy, what a team. Will and all the other guys are headstrong but have hearts of gold and a hope that is unbreakable. There will be newcomers and the old favourites—good and evil. New powers will add complications and turn this story and all of its characters on their heads. And don’t get me started on the twists! As soon as you think you know what will happen next you’ll be thrown for a loop and poor Hannah, Jared, Will, and everyone else will be left to pick up the pieces just to stand side-by-side again and put it all on the line once more.

In a tale of good vs evil..who will win it in the end?
Well, to find that out you’re just going to have to flick through the pages and discover for yourself!

Well done T.L. for a perfect ending to a reading journey worth taking!

Loved the first book, liked the second and this last book in the series was okay.
There was more telling of the story than I would have liked. More description would make this last book better.
Disappointed in the ending but see why some would like the ending.

The story comes to an end with the final battle and a satisfactory conclusion. There are some sad parts, some intense parts, and some happy parts to make you smile.

The book was hand kept me wanting to keep reading. The only thing I thought was Hanna was sometimes annoying and frustrating when she would go in circles with herself in her own head.
