I loved this book and the main characters Tim and Davis. Before they find each other unexpectedly, they have quite a backstory. Tim is so sweet and I love everything about him. He has had a tough life at home. The story begins from there, when he is thrown out of home and will be taken in by elderly neighbor Carl. Everybody should have in their life such a wise and kind soul as Carl.
Davis is a famous author who has a lot going on in his life and due to this he makes a life altering decision to move to Nebraska, small town Valentine. Boy from a small town and a man from a big city will meet and the spark of desire has been ignited.
How they see each other is beautifully written. All the feels are out there and while reading, I felt all of them - hope, courage to go out there, angst, hurting, being in love and happiness.
Tim, who in the beginning is shy and afraid, has so many layers. We will see his jorney with Davis and how good they are for each other. Davis is protective, caring and completely in love.
The story gets sinister and dark themes will enter, when Davis has a feeling that this small town has secrets. All is not how it seems. There is danger lurking in this town and the story gets suspenseful.
Thank you for creating beautiful love stories and swoon-worthy heroes, who are complex and growing throughout the story. The characters are well developed and mature.
If you love to read hot, romantic, dark mystery solving, MM love stories with main characters you will fall in love with, then I highly recommend reading "Rescue Me, Daddy".
Michael Robert is a newly found author for me. Every book is surprising and so well written. Mr. Robert has a true way with words and I love his writing style.
