Unlike anything that Kristy has written but boy has she once again deliver. Resist is deliciously sexy with tons of sizzle, passion, intensity and a wee bit of taboo. This book is totally addictive as Kristy adds layer upon layer to her story. There is also an unbelievable ending that will leave you stunned as hell!! Alas, all we can do is hope the time passes quickly as we wait for Reveal!
I loved Vaughn! She is strong, smart and focused on her end goal, getting custody of her niece. She’s determined to get there by any means possible…even if it’s running an escort service!! Always the professional she finds herself over a barrel when one of her girls has to sit some time out. Thus, leaving her shorthanded for a new, important client, Ryker Lockhart. She is strong, resilient, beautiful, intelligent woman. She has some secrets and have struggled so much in her life. This life has make her the woman she is now. A woman that would do anything for her love ones and will never let a man put her down. Her wall are up and ready until she comes across a certain man that will claw and crumble that wall. The bickering and banter between Ryker and Vaughn was INSANE. They drove me nuts but in a good way. The type that has you on the edge of your sit waiting for what’s next. Two powerful, controlled and successful people trying to push each other bottoms. At some point I wanted to punch them both in the face for been a pain in my behind. Then they come and finally surrender to each other. Have this AMAZING connection and made me melt for them. The passion they ignited was incredible. Their love is the forever kind but this two will have many obstacles between them. After that CLIFF at the end now I’m DYING for book 2. Counting the days for it. If you like passionate and intense reads you definitely will love RESIST.
