Space Police: Rise of the Retail-Bot, an almost funny SciFi space comedy Kindle Edition
Meanwhile… Dewbush finds himself falling in love with a retail-bot who’s in illegal possession of a sense of humour. But when she’s recalled by her manufacturer for immediate decommissioning, Capstan suspects they may have darker motives for wanting her silenced.
This, the fourth in the brand new Space Police series, is a hilariously funny Sci Fi space comedy that's just perfect for fans of the humour of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Terry Pratchett, and the Space Team books.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2020Lt. Dewbush can be quite the clueless moron at times. He frustrates me when he’s like this, but the results are hilarious. Great story and a lot of laughs — I hope our heroes meet President Müller one day.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2018Stranger, sillier and with more nuts. This is even better then the previous one. Dewbush seems to have dropped in IQ, along with the villains. Yet again the team find themselves in a life and death situation solved by the obvious (to anyone but themselves).
Recommended.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2019This is the funniest series out there. If you're a fan of British humor, then the is the series for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2018This is book four and usual series rules apply insofar as getting the very best from this book, it's a good idea to read books 1-3 first, although there is enough recap in this book for it to make sense on its own. But you know what, you'll be missing out on a few "in jokes" that may go over your head if you don't!
Capstan and Dewbush are asked to investigate a report of a retail-bot who is experiencing some pretty weird behaviour. It appears she is in illegal possession of a sense of humour. Remember that humour, especially sarcasm has long been outlawed. When the duo go to question her, Dewbush promptly falls in love with her and she appears to "feel" the same about him. Well, in amongst her trying her best to get him to buy things. Well, she is foremost a retail-bot!
Meanwhile, as usual, we have a side thread going on with the President who has unwittingly proposed to his wife-bot. Well, we all do silly things when drunk! The laughs in this thread are mostly supplied by his attempts to "get out of it".
Back with our duo and things go rapidly south for all concerned, very quickly and with some quite amusing repercussions. But all joking apart, is this sense of humour error just an anomaly or is there something rather more sinister going on behind the scenes?
Well, as for the previous books, I pretty much chuckled, laughed and guffawed my way through this book. I also sniggered a bit for good measure. Yes, some of the humour could be construed as being a bit childish, maybe a bit on the banal side, but... you know what. I love that stuff! It's my cup of tea so to speak. So that paired with a couple of storylines that were quite enticing and intriguing, I was right in my element whilst devouring this book. Yes, granted, the humour isn't for everyone so I would recommend taking advantage of that wonderful sample system and "try before you buy" if you are not sure. Me, I'm completely satisfied with what I read and I am now hanging for book five!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2018I received an ARC of this book from the author, and submit this review voluntarily and honestly.
Capstan and Dewbush are back again, this time investigating a serious breaking of the law, having a sense of humour, only to find the perpetrator is a robot - which Dewbush immediately falls in love with.
Meanwhile, the President of Earth is trying to get out of a wedding that was as a result of him proposing while drunk - also a robot.
In the background, there's a more sinister crime hiding.
Highly recommend.
