    Emerson Beckett is new to the publishing world. As an avid sports fan and lover of well-written M/M romance books, Emerson loves her new career as an author of gay romance. It’s even more fulfilling for her when she can combine the two.

    The journey to becoming an author started with an idea while reading on the sofa. That idea became an email that ultimately resulted in Emerson using those teacher skills to edit novels for three phenomenal MM romance authors. The third referral led to an opportunity to co-write a book series with one of the most genuine and kindest people she’s ever had the pleasure of knowing- Rheland Richmond.

    Emerson is the co-author of The Package Deal Series, which includes The Quarterback Keeper, Pass Interference, Unnecessary Roughness, Two-Point Conversion, and three more upcoming books in the series. She will release her first solo novel in late spring 2023.

    Besides being a retired teacher and author, Emerson lives in North Carolina and has been married to the same man for 32 years. She is the mother of three beautiful adults, one of whom is proudly part of the LGBTQ Community and completely responsible for her addiction to MM Romance. Even though the kids no longer live at home, they filled the empty nest with an Australian Shepherd, three cats, and a cute bunny rabbit.

    This book drew me in from the very first page, and never let me go.

    There was no angst and there was no drama. It was just pure and sweet reconnection and hot steamy love. After a weekend fling in Spain neither can forgot but men are shocked when they cross paths and cannot wait to burn up the sheets again.

    Dom and Jesse had a beautiful story and it wrapped up the ongoing series perfectly. All of the guys got their happy endings and are able to enjoy their life to the fullest. I can’t wait to see what happens with Jesse’s team that have moved from Wyoming to Portland… I’m sure there will be trouble and lots of sparks flying.

    Again hands down my favorite of this series. Will be a re read for sure (and audio if I can find it) 💕💕

    All of these books are good but there was just something about Dom and Jesse that got me right in the feels. They are a perfect example of one night not being enough. Even though it was one weekend 3 years ago, neither one has been able to forget the other. Some things are just meant to be and these two are definitely meant to be. This is equal parts schmoopy and scorching hot so be prepared!

    Roughing the Kicker by Rheland Richmond and Emerson Beckett is the 6th and final book in their The Package Deal series. I highly recommend that you read the other books first as they are the stories of reoccurring characters in this one and give an understanding of how the Portland Pirates football team works. Dominick Rossi was introduced in a previous book as a somewhat harried and funny character who was very fast and when he was called up to kick in an important NFL game he nailed it and thus became the kicker on the team. His story started in Europe but something happened that led him back to the US and Portland where his big break came. Jesse Evans, a former Navy SEAL who had also had some heartbreak and was the older brother of Cooper who was with one of the Pirate’s players. He had a private security company with his former teammates that were also SEALs. 3 years ago he met Dom in Italy where they spent a wild weekend together and never forgot each other but didn’t stay in touch. Then Jesse saw Dom’s kick and knew he had found the man he wanted to be with. All of the players and their significant others went to Key West for a vow renewal for two of them and Jesse used his influence to room with Dom. What followed was a week of many, many hot love scenes as they realized they wanted to be with each other, even though neither one of them had been into long term relationships. When they got back to Portland they knew they were in love and continued to learn about each other and what they needed to do to be together. I enjoyed this book, especially since the characters from the other books I loved were very involved in it. Dom and Jesse had to grow into their love because they had both had troubles in the past and while this took a while, along with a lot of hot loving, it came to a very satisfying conclusion. There was also a very sweet ending for both of them that you didn’t see coming but really made the story a wonderful way to end the series. I also liked that the other players on the team stood up for them and would never let them down as found family was everything to them. I am looking forward to reading the books in the new upcoming series as I really liked these. I recommend this book, especially if you like stories with sports stars, Navy SEALs, found family, and lots of love scenes.

    Dom and Jesse were the perfect ending to this series! I loved that they had met previously and were getting a second chance to build something. Jesse was quite the little sneak at first, but it was fun to watch him make sure he got his chance. Dom was always such a great character in the previous books. They balanced each other out so well and were always their to support each other. Livie was an absolute doll and totally meant for them. Loved it!

    This is such a great story and end of the series. I love these two together. Their beginning started 3 years earlier until they found each other again.
    They both went through a lot on their lives, causing them to not want a relationship, but they couldn't stop their love from developing.
