(Watch Me) Save You: Gay M/M Romance (Run This Town Book 4) Kindle Edition
Is love enough to pull two drowning men back from the edge of darkness?
No one will love you. Tek Ng has heard that statement his entire life, and after all he’s been through, he believes it. The tortured reality of who he is wars with everything else in his world. He’s got a fiancée he doesn’t want, a family legacy he’d desperate to escape, and unrequited love so unavoidable he descends into sexual depravity with the last person he should. Tek is drowning, but he’s not sure he wants to be saved.
Quinn Storm hides in his quiet house, afraid of his shadow and his memories. At one time he had a husband and a life, but that was snatched away in a violent attack. Hardly daring to live, Quinn is alive only because he’s too scared to end it all himself. He’s drowning and wants no chance at being saved.
A favor for a friend brings these two men together just in time for Tek to watch Quinn unravel. Quinn quickly becomes the most important thing in Tek’s life, but can he trust Quinn to love him once he realizes what Tek is hiding? Just as they reach for each other, their reprieve is shattered by Tek’s demons, leaving Quinn with the realization that he’s not the only one in need of saving.

About the author

A Grenadian transplant, Avril now lives in Tucker, GA, with a madly tolerant husband. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who’s pretty meh about reading and school. Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing the plot points of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother.
Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. She’s been nominated for numerous awards, including Best Author, Best series (Brooklyn Sinners), and Favorite All-Time Author. In 2013 Avril won Evernight Publishing’s Reader’s Choice Award for the LGBT (Male/Male) category. Recently she took home the Golden Ankh award for best Male/Male romance for her bestselling novel, Sinner’s Fall.
Addicted to cake, the ID Channel, and the UFC, Avril writes Gay and Erotic Romance with happy endings; she remains a believer of love in all its forms.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2015Author Avril Ashton has done it again. She has woven a compelling, thought-provoking romance between two broken, damaged men. This excited, exhilarating, yet heart-wrenching book, broke my heart in a million pieces. From the first paragarph to the last written word, I sat enthralled, captivated by the brilliance of this well written book.
*Watch Me...Save You*, is a welcome addition to the already magnificent *Watch Me.....* series. The brilliantly crafted MCs Tek and Quinn have always intrigued me as clever secondary characters in the previous books. Paired together in their own, they created magic. Their chemistry was of EPIC proportion, although their backstory was heartwrenching. I cried buckets of ugly tears for the trials and tribulations these two men had gone through in their past.
The journey towards their HEA was bumpy, for this exceptionally eloquent author has sent them to *the gallows* repeatedly. However, their self discovery, love and devotion to each other and their second chance at love, was worth the struggle. This book was not about victims of circumstance, but about the power of love and reasons for SURVIVAL.
SUMMER'S MUST READ.......WELL DONE AV!!!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2015I didn't like this quite as much as the others. It was really good, so far as learning Tek's story. Quinn didn't quite work for me. I think several weeks passed between when he met Tek and then they got back together. I didn't get a good sense of the time frame, though. Quinn did start seeing a psychiatrist but his turnaround, from the character we met at the beginning to the dominant lover, wasn't believable enough. Tek was a huge mess too. His actions were rather erratic. He put things in motion to solve some of his problems but was then prepared to walk away from Quinn again. Israel was a real jerk when he set up the scene for Quinn to walk in and hear him spill Tek's secrets. I did like the ending, where events to set up the next series were told. Can't wait for more stories weaving all these characters together.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2015Damn... Tek & Quinn. What an amazing journey this author takes you on as these two broken men find their way with each other. Tek & Quinn both have a past that will break your heart. Their present isn't that great either. The way they both navigate the many challenges of their past & the present had me cheering & then cursing them both. I love how you really felt the whole range of emotions these men have for each other & those around them, from their absolute best to almost rock bottom. I loved seeing all the other guys. A fantastic, heart felt read I would happily recommend. I look forward to more from Avril Ashton.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2015About the story:
This time around, we get Tek and Quinn's story-- two damaged men who want to save each other. Both men are slowly drowning from different, but equal, issues. Life feels hopeless and is killing them. When they come together you want them to be strong, and they were explosive.
My favorite quote:
"I need to kiss you. Taste you, just once." He held up a finger as he walked over slowly. "Just one time. I need to put my lips on yours, feel them part for me. I think you'll taste like everything I've forbidden myself to want. I think it'll devastate me, the feel, the taste of you, when your tongue touches mine. But I want that. Just once. Let me taste you, Quinn." He didn't usually beg. At least not for this, not for a kiss. "Devastate me."
My thoughts:
Avril Ashton needs to write faster! This series is amazing and I want more. Feed my need, Avril
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2016This one was a bit disappointing for a number reasons. 1) Ms. Ashton went back to the serious need for an editor, not only for typos, missed words, and extraneous words, but at time the grammar and the language were nerve-grating. 2) Quinn's personality. Practically overnight Quinn went from being afraid of his own shadow to being almost as dominant in the bedroom as his ex, Xavier and bold enough to stand up to and threaten Stavros. That didn't even make sense. And previously, I'd had the impression that Quinn was well-spoken, but then when his bold personality comes out, he ends up talking more street than Israel & Reggie. 3) Israel becomes a complete & total a**hole when it came to inserting himself in the middle of Tek & Quinn's situation. He overstepped bounds that even Xavier didn't touch, though if anyone, Xavier would've been more entitled to speak out. 4) The last few chapters all seemed to be rushed and thrown together. 5) Renzo Vega's role in general is still a bit murky, IMO. Is he an actual bad guy or not? 6) This may be minor, but when Quinn went to go see Xavier, first of all that was both crazy and bold. Crazy because it could've been done over the phone, postcard, email, etc. Bold because he was trespassing in Dima's territory, in more ways than one. And there was WAY too much touching and kissing between Xavier and Quinn during that scene for my taste. 7) Having to rehash everything from Book 3 just to show Quinn and/or Tek's POV at the time...I can't help but think there had to be some other way to handle this book's set-up.
The sex between Tek & Quinn is okay, the relationship dynamic is okay - 2 extremely troubled men trying to put themselves and each other back together again. I was wondering how Ms. Ashton would make it all work and it came out better than I expected. NOTE: If you have been eagerly anticipating Stavros getting what's coming to him since Book 3 (like I was) then you may get to the end of this book and think "Ok, so is he getting what's coming to him or is there another book in the series?" I don't know I there's going to be another book in this series but (if you're reading on a Kindle) turn a couple of pages past where it says "The End" until you see the heading "Call the Coroner". Read this synopsis. It is the most ridiculous book premise I have read in a while and if you don't get aggravated as heck you're a lot stronger than I am. That is one book I REFUSE to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW
Absolutely loved the stories, the character were so easy to make friends with, I lost count of how many times I lost myself in the books. I remember finishing the first one and getting ready to read the second one thinking there's no way this is going to be better than what I'd just read but guess what, it wasn't better but it was definitely just as good. What I loved most about these books is they all followed on from each other but instead of starting at the end of the last book it went back to part of a story and told it from a different person's point of view and WOW it gave you a different read into what was happening to the new main characters at that point in the previous book. At the end of book 4 you get a little bit of a teaser about another book called " call the coroner " so hopefully it's not over. Would definitely recommend this series.
