    I enjoy this author and this was filled with everything you want in a story. Fantastic character's -written so well, suspense, twists and a bumpy road to reach a second chance.

    The way this author told the story was like peeling the layers off an onion. It unfolded just a the right speed so you knew what the intent was - OR so many times I thought I did to be proven wrong - lol.

    When the H asked the h to help him attempt to bed her friend I could feel the h's hurt. Of course, they both think the other is guilty of betrayal so nothing happens at lightening speed, which worked so well for this story. It was funny how each added a twist to their outcomes and the reader isn't privy until it happens, which I loved. I dislike when you know where the story is going and it drags. Not in this one so I recommend it highly.

    There is lovemaking outside of marriage, heat level 4.5 out of 5 and only described once.

    I loved her friend's father - oh he wasn't an old foolish man, but smart and well versed in the actions of his daughter and the h. You could feel the love the man had for the h (father type) and it added another emotional layer to the story. You are never quite sure of the relationship of her friend until the end.

    No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romance and a tad of spice. (ljb)

    Great start to a new series by Sky, Scoundrels Vengeance is a spin off of her MacLomain series.

    Laird Keenan MacLauchlin and his two brothers Malcolm and Teagan are back from war. Twelve years they have been away from their home fighting first with the French then with King David ll. Between war and a sickness that swept through Scotland many things have changed. It's up to Keenan to bring his clan back to what it should be, his people have suffered and he aims to make it right. A pact made with his brothers to see advantageous marriages for the three.

    Fionna Taylor, now Laird of her clan after her father's passing heard that Keenan was back and wasn't sure now she felt, after 12 years of no word from him she moved on, her heart though has not. Now confronted with the man she once thought to spend the rest of her life with he asks something of her she never expected!

    This is a great second chance (kind of) romance, great characters and story!

    Bring together two strong willed Clan leaders, some disgruntled clansmen and a wonderful young man who’s out looking for adventure and you have a fast moving story with twists and turns you don’t see coming. A definite must read in this beginning of a new series.

    A Pact. The brothers made a pact to go after rich lasses and bring their clan back and see their people fed well and protected. If that is what it would take then so be it.
    Keenan had a plan and it involved the hostages he had just taken. Yes, Fiona Taylor, now head of her clan would help him achieve his goal of wedding one of her wealthy friends. When she did come at his summons, he could still see she was beautiful, but gone was the sweet innocence. Now only determination.
    It was evident to Fiona that Laird Keenan MacLauchlin was not the gallant youth of her past. He had no heart left it seemed but she was determined to do whatever it took to get her brother and Dougal.
    A story of a second chance that will be hard won and of secrets that remain from a love long ago. Such a heartfelt story of two injured souls who need to see what is in front of them to bring about a healing. I enjoyed this tale so much and look forward to the brothers !
