New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).
She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2018In typical Julia Mills fashion we have been given another wonderful and funny book. What do you do when you have all the money you want and a big ole home you grew up in? Oh yes, forgot to say you never went on a honeymoon.... (although you have plenty of money to do so ya know), well you have a staycation. YEP but when you have a hubby who takes things overboard like Andrew does, and throw in all that money we talked about and well... yep rip rolling funny. He just happens to talk to some rich buddies right before he started remodeling & the remodel moves way off course. I do mean OFF as in off the grid off.
If you have never read any of the books let me share a little bit for ya to understand what is going on here. Andrew and Amanda and Shannon and Declan compete for everything. Declan and Andrew are brothers (Amanda and Shannon are besties). Shannon and Declan had a honeymoon but for some reason they won't share details. HUM now they have a baby. Andrew and Amanda had no honeymoon...yet. So THIS IS THEIR Honeymoon.
I have to say this book IS funny but it always is so enlightening. We get to see so many sides of the family in this book. I have so happy to see more of the family members who have been tucked away for a while come out to visit.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2018Andrew and Amanda have been married for a couple of years, yet, they’ve never had a honeymoon. Andrew is a workaholic and can barely spare a weekend away. Now Amanda takes charge, by talking to his personal assistant and making sure she can take over the business for two weeks. So what does Amanda want to do for said honeymoon, a stay-cation. Her idea is to remodel their home to a more modern one. It is the home where Andrew grew up, but it’s a bit outdated. However, Andrew wants to make it a prepper home, meaning to get it ready for the possibility of a meteor hitting Earth. Where they could survive for a long time just incase the apocalypse hits. Crazy but true, this is how Andrew thinks.
Comedy and mayhem ensues with past of characters from previous books.
I have loved this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2018Nobody writes funny like Julia Kent! She's an incredible storyteller. I love all of her series & have come to love her characters as well. They're relatable but oh so funny!
This latest installment in the Shopping series is just as funny as the rest. Having followed Amanda & Andrew's story through a few of these books, you'd think Julia would eventually run out of imaginative ways to make us love them but that certainly hasn't happened. I'm fully invested in these characters because Julia hooked me with the first Shopping book. They are each a fun & memorable ride!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2018This is a cute book, with some steamy scenes, but I didn't like it as much as some of the other books in the series. It did make me chuckle a few times, but it wasn't as funny as many of Julia's books are. I think my main issue with this book was the stuff about preppers and guns. I thought the prepper stuff was just kind of silly. I am totally anti-gun, though, so I really wasn't a fan of the gun stuff -- that part just really kind of made me not like Andrew and Amanda much.
This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2024An enjoyable story, definitely not a standalone. Andrew and Amanda have the strangest honeymoon, but it makes sense for them. I recommend it!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2018As usual I laughed out loud and drew strange looks from those around me. This book is a little more serious than most of the previous books, but those topics are sprinkled with comedy to keep you from blubbering. I went with 4stars because the book feels like it ends abruptly. Of course this means we are assured another book relatively soon and I can't wait!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2018I hope this series continues! It's hilarious, fun, relatable (not the billionaire part), and emotional. Amanda and Andrew's Honeymoon is unlike any other (Lol). Love the cameo of Declan and Shannon as parents (I hope we have more stories on their new life too. I read all these series and will be very sad 😢 when Julia Kent stops writing this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2018How true, how true. Again the brilliant imagination of Julia Kent brings the hilarious to everyday life. From breastfeeding mishaps to the full body length dirty diaper. Andrew and Amanda didn't get to have their honeymoon. Now it's 2 1/2 years later. Watching Shannon and Declan with their baby starts some yearnings in both of them. But can a CEO of a Fortune 500 company take two weeks off? And what should they do? Andrew's 'prepper' honeymoon is not exactly what Amanda had in mind. The hijinks that happen keeps you laughing and sighing. And a few tears here and there also. Easy to read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Honeymoon at Home!
I think I love Andrew and Amanda a little bit more with each book I read. Amanda is definitely Andrew's soulmate and doesn't take any of his overbearing, egotistical nonsense, although she has plenty of 'ammunition' following the gun awareness course!
Definitely an interesting way to spend your honeymoon. Although I can't believe with that many rooms in the house they couldn't find one without a workman in it. Lots of decisions and future plans made. Loved Andrews declaration about his feelings when he holds Ellie.
Great to see my other favourite couple, Declan and Shannon, making an appearance along with little baby, Ellie. Shannon is a natural at motherhood. I remember those day of blowouts, I don't care what the nappy/diaper manufacturers say, there is nothing that holds it in! Terry also makes a flying visit, I'm hopeful we will see more of him in the future and that he gets his own happy ever after.
Besides a very brief scene with Pam, there are no parents in this book. I love Maria and James but sometimes they have a tendency to dominate. It was really nice to just have the 'kids' and focus on their stories.
Looking forward to the next instalment in this brilliant series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok
This book seems to have missed the mark. I kept waiting for the actual story to start but it never did. Lots of things touched on but not really explored fully.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot but left wanting more
I liked the fact Andrew and Amanda seemed more connected but I was left hoping the ending was them finding out they were expecting rather then them just trying , it was nice to see Terry again as he's one of the best side characters.
I wish we could have seen a bit more of Amanda and James relationship and how it's progressed
I liked the crazy sultan, he always adds humour

5.0 out of 5 stars Shopping for a CEOs honeymoon
This is another great book in this series, Julia kent writes all of these books so well you feel as if you know all of the characters personally
