    There's a serial killer of women in Prince William County, Virginia. In the last six years, 30 women have disappeared. The FBI gets involved on the latest abduction. The latest victim is Amy Rogers, whose husband, Kirk Rogers, has the power to get the FBI to investigate and hopefully find his wife alive. FBI Agent Brandon Fisher is on the investigative team headed by Supervisor Special Agent Jack Harper. Harper tends to irritate Brandon with a snarky attitude because Brandon is a fledgling agent still in training. Their team is part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit tasked with stopping serial killers. This is a realistic investigative novel well written by Author Carolyn Arnold. She has developed a team which will search for every bit of evidence, and never drop anyone from being a possible suspect. Highly recommend.

    This book takes him into the mind of a serial killer that kills women for fun. Each layer of evidence brings you closer to this sicko who has made a sport of abusing women in the most vile ways.

    Young Trent Stetson wants to show his boss he has a future in law enforcement but goes the wrong way, which caused a few frustrated situations for the FBI.

    Paige and Brandon definitely still have feelings for each other and how it will play out is anyone's guess.

    Great writing, fast-paced plotline and dominant characters makes this a great read and a book I can recommend.

    What I don't like is the way the books finish at 85% or so. The next 15% is use to advertise the other books and give a preview of the next book in line. I wish that I had received all 100% of the book. Another thing this is personal preference but I wish the author can decide whether Brandon and Paige is on or off. He says one thing with his mouth and then as soon as she's in his personal space, that flies out the window. And Paige move on already. How much more does she need to hear or see? Sheesh. Buttttt I like the team, teamwork, the FBI connotation and the case solving. My kinda book.

    Agent dawson is still on probation with the fbi, but she is determined to prove she belongs on this team, and sometimes she doesn't always do it right or works with the team. When women started to disappear, they realised they had a serial killer. Now, they have to find out what or who they had in common.

    I found it rather disappointing that there was not as much with Brandon as there was with some deputy dooright type cop, SOOOOOOOOOO much emphasis on Jack...And really ENOUGH WITH PAIGE.

    I have a hard time with women that screw around with a married man and then act like the WRONGED WOUNDED PARTY?? She knew Brandon was married and slept with him anyway...SO NOW WE DEAL WITH AN ENTIRE BOOK OF HER FEELINGS?? If this continues to be the way of the book, I will be asking for a refund from book 4 on because I bought them all - they were not free.

    I WANTED A SERIES ABOUT POLICE, FBI WHATEVER that is about a mystery, killer and plot NOT SOME WOMEN ACTING LIKE AN UNPROFESSIONAL SCHOOL GIRL...NO SYMPATHY THERE AT ALL.

    AND NONE FOR BRANDON...HE IS PINING OVER DEB?? Maybe he should have been home with DEB and not SCREWING PAIGE.

    THAT SAID...

    The plot is good, and keeps you reading to find out WHO AND WHY....and just hoping things turn out okay. It builds up nicely and actually does not wrap up too quickly leaving you going what....

    I had a terrible problem with Stenson and for them to even IMPLY HE WOULD MAKE DETECTIVE is against everything humanly reasonable....he withheld crucial LIFE-SAVING INFORMATION UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE....he should have been fired...

    I am going to read the next in the series and hope that we have had all we need regarding Paige and Brandon

The protagonist, Brandon Fisher, is believable and relatable, and the plot is riddled with enough twists to challenge the reader to identify the murderer before the end of the novel. Truly disturbing to think our fellow humans are capable of such atrocities as Arnold's antagonist in this book. Must go, the next book awaits.
