    Full disclosure I am a huge fan of Chris Stires. His work over the several years I've known him is top of the pops! Not only is he an amazing student of the craft, he loves it and does it whether there's a monetary reward or not. This leads to uncompromising prose that sings at a high level. Why he's not a best seller is wholly beyond me.
    If I had to choose a "I like this best" of his work, it's whatever his current book is because he just gets better and better.
    Don't pass on this. It's like eating a full course meal filled with the best comfort food you've ever had.
    Go get lost in this world of swords and lace and forget your troubles.
