About the author

Sundari Venkatraman is an Indie Author who has 68 books to her credit. These books have consistently featured in the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month.
These days, the author is independently publishing her novels in paperback format under her banner Flaming Sun, printed and distributed by Notion Press.
Even as a child, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome and she grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, Phantom comics and Mandrake comics. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy ending after the protagonists surmounted all unexpected obstacles.
Once she entered her teens, Sundari switched her loyalties from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to local heroes and heroines. And of course, the joy of vanquishing the ubiquitous evil villains! Her imagination soared and she happily ensconced herself in a rosy romantic cocoon for many years.
Then came the writing—a true bolt from the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2018Format: KindleOur Author Friend Sundari Venkatraman has penned a Series: The Bansal Legacy. Book 1: Simha International I have seen shaping up from Sundari posting it as blog posts every week on her blog to it being released on Kindle. The complete story blew my mind. Sundari does it every time. Blending romance and a deep story plot.
A mystery to solve, a romantic couple, a working hotel as crime scene and lots of characters.
Sundari Venkatraman has deftly weaved the story with all these things incorporated in it.
Hats off to the research put in the working of Hotel industry. I could feel I was sitting on Rohit or Tasha's shoulder and exploring the hotel.
There is no dull moment in the story. Loved the way the flashback and present are presented without disrupting the reading process or taxing the readers brain keeping track of happenings. The language is good like always.
The characters are many and play their part smoothly. Everyone has a equal part including the protagonists. The feelings and emotions make you visualize the scenes vividly. The description of the places, people, situations adds to the imagination.
I appreciate Rohit's way of handling Tasha's brother, Arun Gaikwad or the thief's punishment. Got him brownie points from me ;) I liked the way Tasha is confident, uses her brains and makes decisions. She is no damsel in distress but knows how to take a helping hand with grace. Her mother grated on my nerves as well as Arun. Controlling myself from giving out spoilers ;)

- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA very realistic romance I would love to drown myself again. As a reader I am hooked to Sundari Venkatraman’s book. As a writer I am trying to learn at least a few lessons in writing from one of the most prolific romance writer in India.
Rohit and Tasha meeting each other at the least romantic places and least romantic of a situation, and before you know they are pulled into the strongest of all tornadoes- Love.

Among the recent books I've read by the author, I liked the love story in this one best (even though it got kinda cheesy towards the end). The protagonists were strong, independent people, the love story believable, and the chemistry sizzling hot. However, the one thing I would have loved to see is a little more conflict in the relationship, because it would have made the story more interesting, else it comes out as flat and one tone.
As far as the mystery aspect of the book goes, it's not really that tricky to figure out the culprit, but since it does induce some variety into the plot, I'd say it's a good addition. However there were some other side tracks that did not add up for me, for instance - the brother's transformation, while gratifying, was a little too quick and easy to be believable, and then the plan to overthrow Rohit's position at Simha, wasn't fleshed out that well, which is why it never seemed like a real threat, but just a plot device.
All said, if you like the author's other books, you will like this one too.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2017Format: KindleSimha International by Sundari Venkatraman is good book to read . Sundari has penned her characters in a very nice fashion . Especially a business man with his perception towards his work life and love life .
I loved Rohit Bansal character ,he is charming ,friendly and open..
Now to save his company reputation he even forgets Tasha′s love which speaks volumes about his business persona .
Where as TASHA character is good to read but where I lost her is when she did not like face her tyrant brother entry and her family′s rants(is she being cowardice in approach like the timid rabbit 😦 ) .
Tasha made me feel like ‘ She was some kind of clingy parasite ’ who did not have any work in Simha International other than thinking about Rohit Bansal ′s body , helping nature ,and his exes .
TASHA needs to be given some kind work . Despite being duty manger she fails to impress me , I am helpless that I FOUND Tasha being a helpless lady .
Needlessly to say I did not either find Tasha being a strong willed persona like the author says .
THE PLOT IS SUPERB.
OVERALL Simha International by Sundari Venkatraman is one time read book .

Both the lead characters were strong. I loved the fact how their relationship started off as friendship then turned into love. Very realistic and believable storyline .The story was fast paced and a total page turner . Looking forward to reading the next story in the series. A must recommendation for romance lovers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel Good one
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThough I'm very late to read this book it was there on my to be read list for long. The Bansal Legacy series is based on three Bansal siblings, each who manage a hotel in different regions. In Simha International, readers can get to read about the story of the eldest sibling Rohit, how he handles any situation in the hotel and his relationship with his duty officer, Tasha. They both are broken and hurt on their own way and their connection goes long back from being acquaintance, becoming friends and giving up to their passion. How they both handle and support each other and nourish their relationship has been beautifully scripted the author. Loved the way of giving naration from everyone's perspective.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseDelightful, delightful, delightful! That is the best way to describe the new series of Sundari Venkatraman. "Simha International" is the first installment of the "The Bansal Legacy" series.
Simha International is a work of contemporary fiction and interpersonal drama. It is intended for general adult readers owing romance, drama, social challenges for a girl, etc.
The book follows the story of two young, career-driven individuals: Rohit is an intelligent, kind, self-made man who knows how to balance work and life. He is the managing director of a five-star hotel. Tasha is a beautiful, confident, hardworking, and vibrant girl who works in the same hotel. They both are burdened with the pain of past failure relationships and hesitate to step into a new relationship.
There is drama in the story; Rohit finds out about a thief in the hotel, and he has to find out that person to save his image of the hotel, as an old client was gets cheated with that thief.
It is so lovely to read a book that exists in a world of fine food, proper etiquette, and a beautiful location. The descriptive work of Sundari mam is fantastic, and this book brought me right to the streets of Goa, my soul city. The story is fun, intriguing, and entertaining that you will finish it in one go.
The author always talks about serious topics of society in her books. This time she reflects on a challenge a girl's faces and how she never gets the appreciation or identity just because she is a girl and from her own family.
I always enjoy diving into the fictional world created by Sundari mam because she knows how to balance all the exciting elements with emotional parallels to modern life and drama so that the story's characters resonate with contemporary readers.
Overall, "Simha International" offers you everything you hope for in contemporary fiction.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, engaging & a light read!!!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIn this book, Author narrates about the life of Rohit Bansal, Managing director of Hotel Simha International and Tasha Sawant, who works in the same hotel..Their relationship is beautifully penned by the author..
To start with, Rohit is a successful businessman who is envied by many for his excellent skills and growth in hotel industry..He is worried when he finds out that some theft is happening in his hotel which may seriously damage his hotel’s reputation..He appoints a private detective to find out the thief and finally he is surprised when the secret about thief is revealed..
Both Rohit and Tasha have some bad experiences with their past relationships..But when they meet, they are attracted to each other..Whether they are able to love and trust each other forms the rest of the story..
The description about hotel industry by the author is good..The way in which Tasha’s younger brother changes is realistic..Rohit’s relationship with his parents and family is so interesting..Both Rohit and Tasha are depicted as strong individuals who rise easily after everytime they fall..
Overall, I feel this book is interesting, engaging and a light read!!!
My rating for this book is 3.5/5.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice representation of characters
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWell written and presenting nice chemistry between CEO and his employees and yeah of course his love life... somewhere I connected with the story but mostly it is predictable... I was expecting more complication in his love life and specially was expecting more scenarios in thief finding.... But anyways it is nicely wrapped and you can go for it, If you are looking for something very casual...
