"I don't even know if I can sufficiently put into words how wondrous this book is! On creativity and originality alone, Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey are beyond measure, but there's no denying how seamlessly their storytelling was when it came to Dave and Simon's story." - Dog-Eared Daydreams
"If only I could bottle Lisa Henry and Sarad Honey's humor to bring out on melancholy days. Instead, I'll pull up Socially Orcward and relocate my grin!" - Kimmers Erotic Book Banter

About the authors
Lisa likes to tell stories, mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters.
Lisa lives in tropical North Queensland, Australia. She doesn't know why, because she hates the heat, but she suspects she's too lazy to move. She spends half her time slaving away as a government minion, and the other half plotting her escape.
She attended university at sixteen, not because she was a child prodigy or anything, but because of a mix-up between international school systems early in life. She studied History and English, neither of them very thoroughly.
She shares her house with too many cats, a dog, a green tree frog that swims in the toilet, and as many possums as can break in every night. This is not how she imagined life as a grown-up.
Lisa has been published since 2012, and was a LAMBDA finalist for her quirky, awkward coming-of-age romance Adulting 101, and a Rainbow Awards finalist for 2019’s Anhaga.
Sarah started life in New Zealand. She came to Australia for a working holiday, loved it, and never left. She lives in Western Australia with her partner, two cats, two dogs and a life-size replica TARDIS.
She spends half her time at a day job and the rest of her time reading and writing about clueless men falling in love, with a dash of humour and spice thrown in along the way.
Her proudest achievements include having adult kids who will still be seen with her in public, the ability to make a decent sourdough loaf, and knowing all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody.
She has co-authored both the Bad Boyfriends, Inc and the Adventures in Aguillon series with Lisa Henry. Socially Orcward, the third book in the Aguillon series, was runner up in the Best Asexual Book category in 2021's Rainbow Awards.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2021Socially Orcward is Book 3 in the Adventures in Aguillon series by Lisa Henry & Sarah Honey and it's hilariously funny, amazing, wonderful, and sweet! You should read the first two books because these are some wonderful characters and you'll die laughing.
Socially Orcward (love the title!) is told from Dave and Simon's POV and the events occur almost at the same time as what Benji and Calarian encounter in Elf Defense. Dave is a happy, cheerful orc who just wants to raise dragons and find more dragon eggs with his best friend, Pie, in their tower. Words confuse him but all Dave needs are his dragons and Pie until he meets the newest kitchen boy, Simon, who also loves dragons. Simon is also hiding a horrible secret and really hopes nobody finds out.
As he gets closer to Dave and Pie, Simon finds himself struggling to do what is right. Both of them find their person and are happy being together without all that sex thing that gets others in a tizzy. Truffles, custard pies, and roly poly puddings would be better :) I loved the ace representation and of course, Dave the friendliest of orcs would be asexual ;) It was wonderful seeing Dave find his person and of course, the Kings of Aguillon helped nudge both of them along. It was wonderful returning to Aguillon and seeing some familiar faces like Loth, Quinn, Ada, Greylord, and even Scott (as annoying as he was). Simon, Dave, and their dragons get their HEA and fans of the Aguillon series will love Socially Orcward!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2021This was a super cute and fun story. Dave is an Orc and for him, life is simple. He loves his dragons and plays. He doesn't understand innuendo or pretending to be something he isn't. Most everyone in the castle love Dave as he is kind, honest and childlike in his behavior.
Simon has come to work at the castle. He knows a lot about dragons and winds up going from kitchen help to helping Dave with the dragon eggs in his castle tower.
Simon and Dave are being set up for romance but neither of them are into sex. They like being around each other and have dragons in common.
Unfortunately Simon is at the castle to steal Pie, a deadly dragon.
I had a good time reading this story. It's a feel good story where parts are silly, funny and sweet. I loved the characters. The story was great. If you're looking for a steamy read, this isn't it. This is just something fun where you are happy at the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2024It was such an entertaining book. I had a wonderful time reading it. I loved Simon and I already loved Dave from the previous books. I also loved all the dragons. It it a lighthearted book, not much angst on it, and the little it had was bearable. I laugh a lot while reading it,,maybe not as much as in previous books in the series but it was still quite funny. I missed Benji and Calarian though. Other than that, was a great book.

Loved these two ace sweethearts, loved the dragons, loved the very character-driven plot and all the supporting cast--because they are supportive. The plot's nicely twisty at the end. And the baby dragons are delightful and delightfully varied. <3
I read this series not just because the humor works often for me, but, mostly, because of that supportiveness that is an antidote to the many 'no one is a good guy' stories. That's not been my IRL experience, and I'd rather keep it that way in my fiction.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2023This story is quite beautiful. There is also Ace representation in this book, and that is quite wonderful. I honestly hope for more books in this series in the future. The characters are written so well. Even Scott has some good personal development in this book! Go Scott!! Definitely recommend this book and authors!! Thank you!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2024This whole series is fantastic. But I actually read the whole series just so I could read this book. I love an asexual romance where the characters are actually ace. So cute and so funny.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2021This book was so cute. I wasn't expecting it to tug on my heartstrings so adamantly. This book is the long-expected story of Dave, the orc, and his Simon. The plot was predictable but also full of dragons, humor, and a zany lovable characters with growth and development so I can't really complain. I enjoyed it immensely and I look forward to any sequel that might follow.🐲🐉💕

Small spoiler: Dave is ace!! How cool is that?😆
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2021An Ork named Dave (sounds like the first line of a joke). Anyway...Dave is happy being an Orc. He has dear friends, dragons (and eggs) and a finger dragon named Pie. So what if he has trouble with words of more than one syllable or that he’s tall and green, he’s happy, mostly. Then he met Simon, a man who loved his dragons and made his stomach feel all fluttery (indigestion maybe)?
This series has been such a delight. Happily full of silly conversations and this book had the best dragons. Each person was a delight (even the bad guys). All together they made up a very talented cast of characters that even Scott couldn’t write a bad story about (and he was just a side-kicker).
I loved that Dave and Simon got their happy ever after (without all the squishy stuff).
The authors imaginations worked overtime on this story. Purely delightful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Last of the trilogy, which is crime, there’s room for far more!
Warning! Do not read this in bed, unless you sleep alone. I was very unpopular making the bed shake! Out of the three, this is by far the funniest. Also the strangest, sexless yet sweet love affair between a 7ft tall, green force of nature and a kitchen boy (who unintentionally gets jail for egg and spinach). I’ve learned a lot about dragons, Eastern Green dragons mature in an impressive manner. It also pains me to admit Benedict Cumberbatch is no Scott, just saying...

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm in love with this story
This book is so cute!! Dave was already a favorite and I was excited to read his own story, and it is all I was waiting for (and more!!) Dave and Simon's relationship is so pure and gracious that it made me almost cry tears of joy. A favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book ever
I haven't laughed and cried so much in ages. Socially Awkward is a delightful continuation of Adventures in Aguillon with lots and lots of dragons. I'd give it 100 stars if I could!

5.0 out of 5 stars How to care for dragons—and orcs and troubled young men
I love Dave so much. He’s more than a little bit clueless (those malapropisms, lol), but so genuinely kind and caring (unless you’re a bad guy and he’s going to thump you on the head, lol). Simon is a great match for him, and I loved the way they slowly figured out their relationship despite troubles and the fact that it doesn’t match the expectations of others. (The ace rep was awesome. The “subtly” talking to the flowers was the best.) I appreciated how much others looked out for them when they needed it.
It was nice to see familiar characters from the previous books (some of them behaving unexpectedly). I loved all the dragons, the dragon lore, Simon’s parents, Ada, Millie…. The list goes on. And of course, Pie is always awesome.
