Welcome to the Fillery Hotel, home to the Bells and Balls Convention, and last stop for a runaway fairy prince and the grumpy demon hunter who loves him.

Dick Slumber is a growly demon hunter with a three-legged cat he doesn’t want and a secret he must keep at all costs. But Dick has a problem—he’s not who he says he is, and he’s running out of ways to hide it.

Gin Lark is a feisty fairy prince whose job is to help his sister keep demons out of the human realm. But Gin has a problem—he doesn’t possess an ounce of magic, and somebody wants him dead.

When Gin goes into hiding as a hotel housekeeper, and Dick is hired to find him, they discover themselves in the center of a cursed hotel, a resurrected pinball convention with its own secrets, and a tear in the sky called the rift, which is about to let loose a horde of demons.

So… About me. I’ve never run a marathon or scaled Mt. Everest. I’ve never scuba dived or sky dived. I’ve surfed though. That was fun. I have six tattoos, and I really love ink. I also love all plants. Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers. If you’ve never seen a zinnia, look it up. Very pretty. It’s an old-timey plant but super easy to grow. Anyway, the big thing I do is write MM romance. But as much as I love romance and sex, I really love going deep into the dark with my characters. What are their wounds? How can I peel them raw and drag them into the light? This leads to some fairly dark stories sometimes, but even the dark ones come with humor. I think the contradictions in people are ripe for hilarious scene setups. I need humor and light in my life—otherwise, I go into some pretty dark places myself. I live with only two cats now—I once had thirteen. That was crazy. I take up most of the things I research for my characters—photography, tarot, and jewelry making for example. I even bought a recorder once because Ori from Jesus Kid played one. I love that part of my job. I also love to walk and lift weights. I’m not a big fan of yoga—just throwing that out there. So far, all of my characters embody something of me, and all of my characters have given me something of them. But no matter what the struggle is from book to book, love always wins out. I'm strong on plot, strong on character, stronger on love. You can count on happily ever after from me every time. I write my stories to open hearts and uplift spirits. Love matters. It counts. And it's for everyone.

Peace.

Dick Slumber is a demon hunter with a three-legged cat and a problem. He is not who he projects and time is running out on keeping that going. Gin Lark is a fairy prince with a powerful sister and a problem. He has no magic and someone is trying to kill him. Gin goes into hiding as a housekeeper at the Fillery Hotel while Dick is hired to find him. Find him he does but there is a problem. The hotel is hosting not only the Bells and Balls Convention but also something evil. As the convention begins, an ancient pinball machine may be the key. In addition, there is a rift ready to open and admit more demons. Falling in love should not be on the agenda.

Sorcery’s Kiss turned out to be so much more than originally thought. There was some laughter as these two find themselves in each other’s path and more than their share of danger. Dick Slumber had no clue what he could do and neither did Gin. Both were in for a few surprises. Dick wanted to keep Gin safe while Gin wanted to go and do what he could to help out. There was lots of action and surprise twists that kept the reading fun and intense. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Absolutely fascinating! This book was anything but ordinary. Gin and Dick find their way to each other despite the fact that they are not who they think they are. And, what’s up with that cat? Highly recommended

This might have been the most confusing story I have read in a long time. I really have no idea of what was happening.

The writing was different, very different.

So we have Dick, a demon and Gin, a fairy prince. But things are not what they seem, I think. This story was all over the place. The best thing was the three legged cat.

Bad things happen, we find out the truth of who is who, and Dick gets woken up by true loves kiss.

This book had me at the edge of seat from beginning to end, never knowing where it will take me next. The twists and turns kept me hooked and in suspense. We get POVs from several characters, including the cat (which I loved) but mostly from both MCs. The world building and all the characters were intriguing and well developed. There were some creepy moments but they fit in perfectly with the story. The mysteries were all very fascinating and woven perfectly into the story without overwhelming the reader.
Gin might be a fairy with no magic but he was no push over. He made sure he was an equal partner. Dick was a grumpy demon and wanted things done his way. But he loved Gin's feistiness and respected his decisions, even if it frustrated Dick and wanted to tie Gin up to keep him safe, lol. They were funny and super hot together.
I can't wait to read more about this fascinating world and its characters.

Kayleigh Sky’s writing style I always find just a bit unusual and charming in being so. Almost like I can’t ever predict what the next sentence is going to be, and thus, the book ends up being a wild ride. This one … well, it certainly was that.

I’m not clear exactly on all the details of the worldbuilding … or the plot, really. But I also enjoyed a lot about this. It struck the perfect balance for me between ridiculous and serious, so even when I didn’t really know what was happening, I was still having a good time. I’m super down for haunted hotels, and I thought this one did a great job with that.

Also, side note: Sky nailed how cats probably actually think. I 100% accept that an actual cat wrote Axel’s chapters.

CWs: attempted murder/physical assault, mentions of death, sexual content, maybe other things, idk.

Gim is a fairy but doesn't feel like one. Dick is a demon but does'nt feel like one. Gim wonders if he really is a fairy or a changeling as he has no magic and all fairys are magical, aren't they? Dick is terrified as he is running out of his disguise and doesn't have enough herb dust to keep his disguise in place. The two meet and find themselves stepping up to the plate to protect each other. Someone is after Gim and Dick gets involved. Will they make it through a rife into the world of demons or will their enemies kill them first?

I like to think I'm a somewhat intelligent person but this book made me think I was constantly one step behind. I felt thrown in the middle of a story and I'm still not sure I understand it after finishing. Ill try the next one because I usually love this author so fingers crossed.

I'm so in love with this book and the series. It was hilarious mixed in with some delicious darkness. I really enjoyed all the main characters: Gin and Dick and Misha and Tev. The characterizations were so spot on and intriguing. The plot was itself was really interesting with a surprise twist that I hadn't expected.
