A Steamy Hot Alpha Biker Romance Series

Mariah Brannigan is as beautiful a woman as she is talented. Maybe that’s why she’s being stalked. When she and her band play Baltimore bars frequented by the notorious Robinson Street Bikers, biker captain Nelson Primeaux will simply not take no for an answer.

Just when Mariah never wants anything to do with another biker again, a chance encounter with a Good Samaritan and off-the-hook hot biker by the name of Cody Dallas changes all that. He always seems to be at the right place and at the right time, namely in the middle of her heart, and saves her from Nelson’s clutches.

However, Mariah learns that Cody’s club, the Black Riders, are major rivals of Nelson’s very powerful club. When she hears Cody is a player with the ladies and his romantic courtship is just one play of many to rule the streets of Baltimore, she’s devastated.

Can the unbelievably good-looking and seemingly tender Cody Dallas prove to Mariah that he’s a biker with a true heart?

This is a great start to a new series
I gave this book five stars for a being a high quality outing in its genre, which is steamy romance and not erotica. This is a great start to a new series. If you like motorcycle books then this book is for you The author warns us of this crucial difference in the description of the book "Stalked: Steamy Motorcycle Club Romance" which is a first book in a series. This book is about musicians and bikers in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. But Pennsylvania, and even Philadelphia, are large places and, although I had relatives in that state and city, I never saw the dark underside of biker bars and gang rivalries that Roxy Odell, author, shows us. Exciting, steamy, luscious and page-turning-fun! Stalked: Steamy Motorcycle Club Romance (Black Riders Motorcycle Club Series Book 1) by Roxie Odell, is a real treat. I can’t wait for the next one. Going to look for more by this author in the meantime. Recommended read. *Disclaimer* I may have received this item at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review from anzreviewtrader.com*

The author warns us of this crucial difference in the description of the book "Stalked: Steamy Motorcycle Club Romance" which is a first book in a series.

Her heroine, Mariah, is a character you want to root for, but one who sometimes makes bad decisions. She's a bar singer, and as such she draws unwanted attention from the head of a motorcycle gang -- and finds herself repeatedly rescued by a handsome devil from a different gang -- the love interest here. The good guy, quiet and reserved for a motorcycle bravo, is called Cody; the bad guy, the aggressive chieftain stalking Mariah, is named Nelson, so these three each have the right names for their roles in this story.
This is a great start to a new series. If you like motorcycle books then this book is for you. You will not figure out who the bad guys are in this book, I am anxiously waiting for book two. I do like Mariah, my mind is pretty made up for that. As for Nelson, I don't like him..... Chad is pretty ok in my book for now. I do like how he steps in when Nelson is being so mean to Mariah. I really hope Nelson gets what's coming to him!
This story is excellent! Mariah is the very pretty and talented main character. Her band plays at the biker bar and she begins being stalked by the president of a MC club. No matter what, he still keeps stalking her. One night on her way home , her car breaks down and a motorcycle pulls up behind her. She thinks it's the biker who has been harassing her, but it's a different bike. It is Cody, he helps her and then he asks her out. She feels the connection between them but she is still having problems with the other guy and worried.
This is a great read! Can't wait to read the rest in the series.

I started out really liking this book. I was drawn in right away by the writing and the description and comical first meeting of the two main characters. We’re introduced to the hero almost immediately as bad boy biker Cody Dallas of Dark Riders MC comes to Mariah’s aid when her car breaks down in a bad neighborhood. Our heroine, lounge singer Mariah, promptly calls the cops on him because she’s afraid that Cody may be associated with the leader of the Robinson Street MC, who has been aggressively stalking her. Cody wasn’t amused, but he got over it.
I like these two characters. Cody can be a bit moody at times, but he’s also sweet and has a good sense of humor. Mariah makes some stupid decisions that leave you rolling your eyes, but I like that she’s not a damsel in distress. While she’s afraid of her stalker and his gang (and rightfully so), she’s not afraid to stand up to them either. Honestly, she’s even a bit too bold at times. I mean, when a biker gang is stalking you, destroying your property, sabotaging your car and attacking your friends… It’s probably not a bright idea to slap one of them. It’s probably an even worse idea to try and spread a lie about one’s *ahem* performance issues.
On that note, it’s probably not the best idea to continue playing at biker bars either. I understand not wanting to buckle under their intimidation tactics, but when a restraining order can’t even help you, maybe it’s time to remove yourself from the situation as much as possible. Just a thought.
Anyway, I liked the chemistry between these two and often found myself grinning at their lighthearted banter and sexual innuendos. Though he barely knows her, Cody wastes no time in trying to protect Mariah. She quickly learns that there’s a gentleman behind Cody’s tough exterior and he discovers that Mariah isn’t quite the good girl that he thought she was. Their relationship kept me engaged and I really wanted to see where it would go… Unfortunately, I soon realized that this really wasn’t going anywhere.
    So, here are my issues…

    1) There wasn’t much of a plot. Mariah kept getting stalked and sabotaged. Cody kept coming to her rescue (with a response time that puts 911 to shame). Random bikers kept showing up. Fights kept breaking out. Round and round we went. This story started out so well, but I kept waiting for there to be some sort of climax (aside from the ones our hero and heroine kept having) and there was none. To top it off, the book just ended abruptly and I found myself feeling completely unfulfilled.
    2) In the description of this book, it reads: “However, Mariah learns that Cody’s club, the Black Riders, are major rivals of Nelson’s very powerful club. When she hears Cody is a player with the ladies and his romantic courtship is just one play of many to rule the streets of Baltimore, she’s devastated.” First of all, the name of Cody’s club is Dark Riders, not Black Riders. Aside from the fact that I don’t know how they managed to screw the name up the description, I’m baffled by this since the series is called Black Riders MC. Maybe the name of the series was changed because of a copyright issue? No clue. Secondly, the conflict mentioned here lasts literally one chapter. That’s it. In fact, all of the misunderstandings between Cody and Mariah are put to rest in a snap.
    3) The cops show up a few times and they seem so… Robotic? I don’t know. The interactions were just awkward. Then one of the cops said to her, “I’ll look into the reports, but what I’m getting a sense of is, wherever you go, ma’am, drama isn’t too far.” This aggravated me. All of her police interactions are the result of the Robinson Street MC, an outlaw biker gang, and she has a restraining order against the leader, Nelson. One that he keeps ignoring. I’m sure the entire police force knows who this man is and I find it hard to believe that any of these officers would blatantly blame the victim.
    4) Cody and his gang went after Nelson. Mariah chased after him because she wanted to “protect him.” Sweetheart, he’s in a biker gang. He went after this man WITH his gang… What could you alone have possibly done to “protect” him from the man that you can’t even protect yourself from? Heroines often make stupid decisions like this in books, but this especially irritated me because initially, Mariah seemed to have more of a head on her shoulders. Even if she was still playing at biker bars while being threatened by bikers… I mean, even if I think it’s stupid, I can respect not wanting to let a crazy stalker control your life. I can’t respect making an outlandishly stupid move like showing up to a biker brawl in a cab, unarmed, to hide in the bushes.
    5) Typos. There were quite a few typos. Some were obvious and others just left me confused. A few times I questioned if maybe the author was from another country because a phrase sounded strange or I couldn’t understand what something was supposed to mean. I haven’t been able to find any sort of biography on her, but I’m going to assume that she’s from the US since this takes place in Baltimore. In this case, I’m going to assume my confusion was the result of poor proof reading. I can forgive a typo here and there, but it’s frustrating when it starts to distract me from the story.

I’m somewhat tempted to read the next book simply because I do like the characters, but I’m not so sure that I want to waste my money on another book that may lack any sort of plot. I’m going to add that I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review, but it’s kind of pointless being that the book is free anyway…

The story of Miriah and Cody starts out really fast with lots of information right away, don't get discourage the first part of the story reads like a short story but at the point you think the story is almost over ; it actually is really the beginning!

I really enjoyed the story line, the characters were built very well. There were multiple sex scenes but it is not erotica.

I actually can't wait to read the next book because I feel that there should be more to the story. When the story ended I was kind of sad but I'm heading to get the next one . I feel these are one of the series That is going to get better with each book .

I only gave it 4 stars because I felt there could have been more to hook me to the characters and the story. I felt like there was something missing, but the book was enough to make me go to book two to see how the story and author improves as there is a lot of potential to this one.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book had potential. It kept a good pace and kept me interested but I found the ending rushed.

Alpha Biker, Lexy Timms – 1 star
This is not a complete book, but only part 1 of the story and not book 1 of a series. If you want to be kept hanging until the author decides how many books and £££ she can eek out before she decides to wrap it up then go for it. This author states that this is a series but does not state that it is a cliff-hanger!

It really annoys me when authors publish books in bits! I feel that authors who write like this do not have faith in their words to publish a stand-alone novel. There are authors out there who have integrity when writing a series and each book is a complete novel, but then follow on to write about secondary characters or a similar theme. These authors I stand by and gladly buy more books from, they deserve my hard earned cash.

Authors: please state clearly that these are incomplete novels.

I had to literally go back and check the reviews because I must've read something different...apparently I hadn't! Skimmed through after 20%, then it finished at 50%, (thank God!) Great book cover!
