Gargoyles, a winged humanoid race of warriors, had spent thousands of years ensuring the survival of the planet. Rhodack Gahnoth, leader of Clan Gahnoth, demanded his gargoyles defend the realm against a new threat. Sending his most trusted warrior to investigate the unexplainable, he was left speechless when the warrior returned with a little wisp of a female with golden hair by the name of Rina Smith.

Her powers were the strongest of any being, and something was hunting her down. To make matters worse, she was under a powerful spell, believed herself to be human, and she was Rhodack’s mate.

Once the spell was removed, Rina’s true identity was revealed, and no one was more shocked than her. She would need a crash course in the world of paranormal to bring her up to speed. One thing she didn’t need help with was her attraction to the tall, brooding gargoyle. He didn’t hide the fact he wanted her. Her hesitance was met with his persistence.

What Rhodack wanted, he claimed.

Because of who she was, a war that had no place on Earth would spill into the realm. It would be up to Rhodack and his gargoyles to meet this new enemy head-on. Rhodack vowed to protect Rina, but as fate would have it, she wouldn’t need his protection after all—he would need hers.

This new series sizzles with electricity, red hot loving and thrilling excitement. Rina and Rhodack are strong, vibrant characters with take charge attitudes that grab readers by their eyeballs and demands that reader enjoy their story. The attraction between these two is undeniable but there are a few obstacles in the path of the mating, Rina has no clue about the supernatural world or just who she really is and Rhodack being the head of his clan of Gargoyles has a harem. That may seem like major obstacles but fate has a way of getting around hurdles and which leads to some seriously hot and passionate scenes between Rhodack and Rina and some of those scenes includes much more, but I will leave that up to your imagination or if you really want to know read the book. Excitement and suspense has readers holding their breaths in anticipation as secrets are revealed, unknown entities breach the portals, and a war that has no place on Earth plunges the Gargoyles right into danger as they try to protect the inhabitants of Earth. With some surprising twists, there’s no way for readers to become bored. The author has created a well-developed world with some unique elements that makes this story one that I couldn’t put down and I am really looking forward to reading the next about the next sexy gargoyle protector.

    I was totally captured by this romance. It gets a strong and fresh feeling, and the characters are great. I've been onto Gargoyles since I was on junior high, and this was totally right my alley. Rina is strong a woman, and wholly herself. Rhodack is one of the leaders of the Gargoyles. It isn't the best time for them to meet, but the chemistry is instantly apparent. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, and look forward to more from this author. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

    This was an excellent story, with a lot of action and plenty of magic and romance but I’m not a fan of M/F/F including harem . That was a major component in the storyline.
    In the main description of the book it was not mentioned, you had to scroll down a little further to read the warning . I hit purchase a little too quick but if you enjoy those type of situations then this book has it all, great characters and unique storyline.

    What can I say about this except it is freaking fantastic! I loved everything about this story. From Rhodack's irritation when Rina didn't trust him, the leader. What was wrong with her? Once she remembered everything the excitement really began. She is so fantastic! Powerful, caring and determined. Rina and Rhodack are one heck of a power couple and I want more.     This was well written with a good storyline, the two main characters are well-drawn and interact well together the chemistry between them is instant and palpable. Rina's human and has no idea that gargoyles exist that is until she meets Rhodack in a bar.

    Rina's a strong woman whilst Rhodack is one of the leaders of the Gargoyles and their journey made for an enjoyable read.

    This book is about Rina. She is a normal girl wanting a normal life. But the migraines she is plagued with slow that down. For the most part when her mom is able to help them. Until one night when out at a bar when everything changes. And she ends up meeting beings she wasn't aware existed. This book has so much going on and is very detailed. I enjoyed it.

    What a fantastic story this is. If you love gargoyle stories as much as I do then this is one for you to enjoy. This story is about a young woman who turns out to be a Faery Princess who has been brought up in the human realm by a witch pretending to be her mum. The clan leader of the gargoyles is startled by the fact that the Princess is his mate. There is lots of action going on in this tale and lots of loving too ......

    We meet the perfect couple who both exude power and strength beyond anyone else’s measure.
    Our two sizzling character’s are both under the impression life has already decided their pathways and destiny, Boy!!! Are they in for a shock.
    Rhina suddenly find’s herself in the middle of the Supernatural world, aware those on earth are completely blind to the world’s different dimensions and Paranormal lives that surround them daily.
    We are given a beautiful example of how a woman who is not a child’s birth mother can love, protect and cherish her daughter no matter who gave birth to her, which is central to the theme throughout the novel.
    This truly is a fast paced adventure taking the reader’s into a number of dramatic situation’s that have you holding your breath, awaiting the outcome. Knowing the depth and intensity that has suddenly taken over Rhodack and Rinna, you find yourself continually turning the pages with no intention of putting it down.
    This Author is an artist in her field with her descriptive dialogue and imagery you’re very much a part of the world and life of those experiencing such an explosive desire, love and knowledge of being mates, during these descriptive scenes the intensity cannot be ignored.
    Talk about discovery, plus their lives and world being besieged the fae and Gargoyle’s are drawn into circumstances beyond anything expected, but there is no way such strong protectors will give an inch to allow what they have complete belief in to change.
    Sizzling hot scenes are often found in the Supernatural world, but between this two powerhouse couple it excels to another level, especially as the Gargoyle’s alpha must have a harem, which his mate learns to understand The chemistry between these two Rhodack and Rinna is off the chart’s with detailed scenes that leave nothing to your imagination, you are there with them as they experience diverse love inside a plot that
    shows us how the strong protective love of both partner, mate and parent’s all contribute to the growth of Rinna. As reader’s you’re drawn into this web of intrigue and explosive action that is executed in a masterful manner, Ariel Marie has achieved a brilliant level developing a plot with an outcome that leaves you holding your breath, while becoming totally invested as to how these mates can find a way to stay together as one.

    I really enjoyed this book in a new series by Ariel. I have always loved anything paranormal and when I saw the preorder for this I thought it was definitely something different to what I’ve read in the past and sounded unique in its own way. Rina has been living with her bestie, when she is suddenly thrust into a paranormal world that she never knew existed. Rhodack is the Clan leader of his Gargoyles and notices that something has moved through into their realm on Earth aka Terra realm. The discovery of what Rina is, is spectacular and makes for an interesting story along with her being the mate to their Clan leader Rhodack! The only thing I didn’t like was that he kept his harem when he found his mate, to me I would have preferred he kept them only for companionship.

    Otherwise enjoyed it and looking forward to more in this Gargoyle protectors series 😀
