About the authors
Native to Oklahoma, raised on a farm, and the eldest sibling of 6 kids, Kathryn always has a devious plot brewing in her cauldron and any number of bad ideas hidden under her pointy wizard hat. She often uses those bad ideas to form a spicy goo and dumps them into her cauldron, with a block of cheesy plot holes and a few tortured heroes, then uses the bubbling mess to summon a story idea! Then she pats the snarling story idea on the head and throws it into her dungeon overflowing with all her other half-baked works in progress.
And yes, she also has a villainess monologue and maniacal laugh to go with all of that.
She started writing her first novel, a fantasy, in 2001 at the age of 10 and completed it at 600 pages!
Now days, Kathryn enjoys traveling across the United States with her beloved husband, Steven, or walking her dog and toddler around the block. Whatever she's doing, she pours the inspiration gained from her travels - short or long - into her books.
USA Today bestselling author Shannon Pemrick is a full-time slow-burn romantic fantasy author, fuller-time geek, and unrelenting dragon enthusiast. She owns too many novelty mugs, not enough chocolate, and maintains a forbidden love-affair with all things shiny. When she's not burning her fingers across a keyboard handing out adventures and HEAs, she's rolling dice and getting lost in RPGs or searching for brides for her dragon overlords.

F.P. Spirit is an avid science fiction and fantasy fan. A Trekkie before it was cool, F. P. became hooked on fantasy the moment he cracked open his first copy of Lord of the Rings. When he is not lost roaming the multiverse of sci-fi and high-fantasy fiction, F. P. is either creating adventures for his roll-playing friends and family or connecting with his mind and body in an attempt to reach that inner spark of spirit.
Jeffrey L. Price graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in print journalism back in the 1980s and spent the next 15 years working at daily newspapers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Even after leaving journalism for the IT world and becoming "a computer geek," he couldn't leave story telling behind and started working again on sci-fi stories he'd begun writing back in high school. Then at the urging of friends he began writing his own blog, The Blue Scream of Jeff, about sci-fi, fantasy, and of course IT topics, and recently contributed to a friend’s fantasy anthology series, “Tales from Thac”.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2020This is a collection of stories from various authors. The first several stories are about a particular female pirate captain. They are from different points in her life--from childhood to her captaincy. These stories are exceptional in that they dovetail so nicely and are so cohesive. The last story is a wonderful story about dragons, fishermen, a valiant boy, and a brilliant girl. A delightful read from beginning to end.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2021This is a very interesting book, not just because all stories are connected to the same world, but because they are actually finished. I just can’t keep on reading if stories are just a teaser for a novel, but like this - it’s perfect.
I like them all, but the one that left the greatest impact was about a shapeshifter.
The names are incredibly fantastic, like from all over the world. And pirates are an amazing topic to write about too.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2021I really enjoyed the character development in this book. There are dozens of strands and mystery as well as heartwarming insight. They flow well together and make them feel like old friends. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series as they come out. The author is definitely improving and the stories are getting richer.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2024The first half of the book was really good, it flowed, and I fell in love with the characters, but the last part of it fell off for me it seemed rushed and at times very boring and hard to keep engaged.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2022All of the tales were very exciting. Some more than others.
Pirates, ladies, dragons and a whole lot of fun. The ending story had a great ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2022All things considered this was a series of different stories so a little bit of everything to sink your teeth into. What ever your genre may be this might be right up your alley. Semi fast read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2022A great collection of tales of the land of Thac. Thac is the land where the Heroes of Ravenford is set. These tales give more color and depth to the magic of that realm.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2021Love how the stories work with what has been written in the other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tales from Thac
An anthology of stories and novellas set in Thrac giving us a much broader vista to other books in the series
. These stories intertwine and introduce a much broader perspective to the other books in the series and a greater understanding of the motivations behind various factions encountered. Avery welcome addition to the mainstream books.
