The B-Side needs to be added to the A-List! I completely fell in love with Tyler and Chance. They are a great balance to one another. Chance has a big heart and Tyler is a happy go lucky breath of fresh air. This story is packed full of emotion, laughs, 5 alarm fire sexy times and great characters. How was this the author’s debut novel?! I am completely in awe. Oh and the author did their own book cover too, which is perfection. The B-Side was fantastic from start to finish and I 100% recommend it!

    I don’t typically read M/M romance but I am a huge fan of a roommates to lovers romance so I was excited to read The B-Side. And this debut novel did not disappoint.

    I love that awkwardness of two people meeting and being forced into close proximity. You really get to see best attributes and flaws very quickly so it always makes for a fun and interesting read. In The B-Side, Tyler and Chance have such a slow burn strangers to friends to lovers story. They were so friggin adorable and sweet apart and together. I literally would have thrown my kindle across the room if these two people didn’t get the love story that the author gives us. And yes, I may have cried at the ending of this book, OMG it was just everything.

    I also loved how music was so important to the story because I am such a music freak and love how it conveys what we sometimes cannot say ourselves.

    This book had such depth of character, an amusing plot, two main characters that I literally want in my life and it was 🔥! The B-Side is emotional, not too angsty, funny, witty and steamy. I would recommend that everyone read it even if M/M romance may not be what you typically grab to read first. I can’t wait for more from this author.

    This is a super sweet, emotional, pull at the heart strings, all the feels M/M romance, and I highly recommend it!

    Chance and Tyler are the perfect love song. On the outside, Tyler is this outgoing, social, funny (his t-shirt collection is hysterical), hardworking man, running his own business. But on the inside, he is lonely and a little bit broken. He is living with some deeply rooted emotional scars left by his parents. Chance is a shy, middle school math teacher who adores his sister and nephews, has no friends, and mostly keeps to himself. Together, they balance each other out.

    These two start off as roommates, who share a love of music, with an attraction that neither is ready to act on. Chance fears that the attraction is one-sided and will result in losing his new friend and home. And Tyler worries because he doesn't know that Chance is Bi. What follows is a friendship that transitions to passion and love. It is so breathtakingly easy and beautiful between these two, and relatively drama free, which is refreshing.

    My romantic heart loved every minute of Tyler and Chance's story (a few tears were shed!), and I'm looking forward to more from this author!

    This is a very sweet love story that slowly pulls you through the storyline as two roommates discover love together. It's fairly low angst, but as a Christian, I would like to slap Tyler's parents - it makes me so angry and sad too because I know there are people in our world who believe and behave this way.

    I liked the story very much, although I felt the author used too much descriptive text of daily or momentary actions or activities that brought nothing of real value to the story.

    Where do I start? I have never wanted to shake two people more and make them talk about their feelings. Sweet Chance… Hurting Tyler… they're so frustratingly cute. The book really picked up for me when one of them finally thought:

    "This is more than just a risk, it's everything, and it's time he knew it." Yes! Finally, maybe, some action to back the thoughts up.

    I loved their connection, the found family, both men supporting the other, the heat. It’s low-angst and the problems that do crop up are handled beautifully and don’t leave you with feeling like “everything was solved” with a snap of the finger. My only problem with this book: pineapple goes on pizza. Kidding (the book is perfect), but also not kidding. Pineapple and pizza go together.

    I love the first half of this book. The forced proximity and friends to lovers tension was A+!

    However, the second half of the book is where it fell apart for me. Once the couple got together I felt like the story lost some steam. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen in the plot. And when it did it was way more dramatic than I was expecting. The aftermath of all of that seemed a little unbelievable.

    There also seemed to be a lot of monologuing. At times I felt like the author was on a soapbox telling me a rant of what she strongly wants me to take away from the moment instead of the characters telling me their story.

    This book wowed me. I loved the storyline of roommates falling in love and I loved Tyler and Chance together. Tyler’s roommate ad was hilarious and his T-shirts are the best. Usually the title of a book is easy to place alongside one aspect or another in the story but I loved having that final piece fall into place almost near the end of the book. The completion, the perfect words of love spoken, that final little piece that just makes it that much more. This is my first book by this author but I cannot wait to see where the series and author take us next.

    I loved this book. Chance and Tyler are great characters. I loved that even though Tyler lost so much early in his life he was still able to let Chance in.

    The side characters were really great too. Loved all the support that both Chance and Tyler had.

    When Chance's sister responded to an ad on Craigslist for a roommate he wasn't keen, it sounded insane and he really didn't want to share living space with somebody. Tyler had had a few bad experiences with roommates which is why he'd been upfront, open and honest about who he was and what he wanted in his ad...he didn't want another bad experience! Despite both of them being initially hesitant Chance arranges to move in asap, as it appears Tyler's not as insane as his ad had suggested and it truly is a great house.

    This was my first book by this author,and I quite enjoyed it. I liked the premise, it was just a little bit different, Chance and Tyler are perfect together and I loved the musical aspect. It's well written, and I enjoyed how the MCS relationship developed. It's simply a feel good story, with very little angst, a perfect read for these trying times. Recommended. Three and a half stars.
