The Dating Disaster Kindle Edition
Felix
One date.
That’s how long it takes for Marshall Harrows to end up on my bad side.
Luckily I have no plans to see the giant teddy bear again. Except when he shows up as my new roommate, I can’t escape him, and he’s just as irritating as I thought he’d be.
He leaves cupboards ajar and puts empty milk cartons back in the fridge. His bedroom door is always open, I find his underwear on the laundry floor, and he has this whole bashful sweetheart thing going on that I just … can’t … stand.
But the most completely, horribly irritating thing about him is that he’s totally my type.
And my friends won’t stop setting us up on blind dates.
Marshall
One date.
That’s how long it took for Felix Andrews to steal my heart.
The sparky little spitfire is everything I’m not. Confident, adorable, and completely outspoken.
He also wants nothing to do with me. Which is a real problem when I want to give him everything. Including my virginity.
But the more I try to gain his attention, the more I see the real him. The one who doesn’t feel worthy of being treated like anything other than a one-night stand. So I decide to take matters into my own hands.
A total do-over. One night. One date. Where hopefully I can steal his heart too.
All books in the Franklin U series are low angst fun. They can be read in any order.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2022Reader - you’re going to love this book so hard! I absolutely adored Marshall right from the beginning. Felix was a sassy and delightful flirt! Put these two together, along with their friends, toss in a visit home with Marshall’s brothers and you have a book you just can’t put down. These two had some relationship missteps along the way from their first date to the big feelings reveal. In between was a wonderful friendship that developed, great connection and some super steamy sexy (first) times! I adored Marshall’s patience in showing Felix that there was more to sex, and he was worth all that and more. I loved seeing Felix grow into his feelings for Marshall, and realize he was worthy of Marshall. These two together, and their cuddles, was absolutely adorable. I also loved the amazing side characters that drew me into the story. I loved getting to know them more in their visit home to Marshall’s parents, and I found myself laughing and smiling throughout their visit! This series has been top notch and I love how we’ve already seen an incorporation of characters we know along the way. I can’t wait to see how the next ones unfold!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2022The Dating Disaster by Saxon James is the 2nd stand alone in the multi author Franklin U series. An MM roommates to lovers romance that start with a terrible first date that leads to friendship and then so much more.
Felix is one of those characters that you can't help but love. He's flirty and affectionate, and at the same time insecure and a bit of a hot mess. Lack of self-worth and making assumptions without having all the facts doesn't make the best combination. Yet you can't help but feel for his need to be love and feel worthy of being someone's forever person. Then we have Marshall, who is the most precious cinnamon roll of a human. He is demisexual and a romantic. He's a mountain of a man, who's a little nerdy with his love of history and introverted, which all makes him a little insecure at times. From the start, he wants to show Felix that he's worth being treating special outside of the bedroom. The two are opposites when it comes to their stance on intimacy but they both want the connectionthat comes with being in a relationship. It was painful at times to read them be so oblivious to each others feelings because they wouldn't believe unless it was spelled out for them.
The Dating Disaster by Saxon James was an entertaining romance with quality steam, great banter, ukulele skills, failed dates, snuggles, cartoon underwear, skinny-dipping, meeting the family, miscommunication, an adorable ten years later epilogue that will leave a smile on your face.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2022Oh this book put such a big, sappy smile on my face! Being a huge fan of this author, I was thrilled to find out 2 side characters from previous books were getting a story in the Franklin U series! This book completely stands alone, but if you're a fan of the Frat Wars and Divorced Men's Club series you might recognize Marshall and Felix. I adored Marshall from the start. Such a big, kind hearted soul that wanted a meaningful connection and someone special to share his first time with. Felix was absolutely a firecracker. Putting up walls around his insecurities and sleeping around to avoid letting anyone in. They danced around each other a bit, but kept coming together and growing closer. Marshall was just wonderful at slowly chipping away at Felix's barriers. Their banter was fantastic, the steam was on point, we got some fabulous firsts for Marshall, so many cuddles, and an epic I Love You that made my face hurt from smiling so much!
This book was filled with so many wonderful side characters and cameos and lots of family. We met some of the men that will be front and center in future Frankilin U books. We got to revisit with Robbie and Brando from Frat Wars and they were just fabulous! Even Felix's dad and "uncle" Heath showed up and had me laughing out loud! Brady and Bowser truly stole the show as the best friends that told it like it it and help Marshall and Felix see what was right in front of them, which led to such an awesome HEA!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2024It's a cute read. There were some really good one-liners in the story. It was my first first into MM romance, and I think this was a good one to dip my toe with.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved it all
Not me freaking out with all the books overlap in this book. I literally squealed throughout the whole book. I lovedddddd that the divorced men club and the frat wars were in here. It made my whole heart so happy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive
The story concept is good: a young bear "no sex until I meet the right one" Marshall loves a slim rather "sex every night" insecure Felix. They live in the same house, behave as if they have no chance/hate each other but get together halfway through the book. The attraction/repulsion is repetitive, the sexscenes superfluous. All's well that ends well. But the story could be so much more interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars So nice!
Such a perfect lighthearted reading! Simple but adorable. I couldn’t put it down, really. I want to read about the romance guru and about Robbie too.

5.0 out of 5 stars So sweet and cute !!
That story was just so cute !! I already knew Felix's personality from “Platonic Rulebook”, he has a big personality and is kind of explosive. Which is a big contrast with Marshall who is quite shy and wants to find someone to fall in love with…
The first date was clearly a disaster, when Felix discovers that Marshall is his new roommate, it doesn’t please him. He doesn’t want to face the man who basically rejected him and didn’t care at all. Marshall doesn’t know how to act around Felix, he was truly nervous during their dates and is disappointed to see Felix’s reactions to him. But Marshall has a big heart and he will do everything to ensure that Felix warms up to him 😍
Whaaaa loved this book, and I was so so happy to see who is Felix's best friend, such great cameos !! I cannot wait to read more !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gostei bastante do Casal
Recomendado.
Estou amando ler a série.
