5.0 out of 5 stars A book with a challenging ecological message.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWow! What can I say about Michelle Frances' latest book 'The Daughter'? Her first book 'The Girlfriend' was great, the next 'The Temp' was better than the first and now 'The Daughter' has excelled the other two. It is full of twists and turns throughout the book culminating in an exciting dangerous scenario, which would be great on either the big screen or a TV drama. Michelle has such great descriptive skills that I was in the middle of the scene I have just described, as well as other scenes depicted throughout the book. 'The Daughter' is slightly different from the other two books in that it has a strong ecological and social message which has made me think of how I will direct my life in future. I have recommended this book to all my family and friends for a very good gripping read. In fact one friend only yesterday has told me she thinks this latest book is better than the other two. I hope Michelle has plans to write a fourth - I am certain it will come up to the high standard of the other three books if 'The Daugher' is anything to go by.

2.0 out of 5 stars I shouldn't have spent the money, sadly
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI wish I could say I enjoyed this book as much as the others I have read, but it was just too slow, too predictable for me. It just never sparked my interest. With that being said it was well written, and had moments that touched me. Other than that the story line was just too boring. I found myself skipping pages ahead to finish, Definitely not a thriller or filled with twists. Still a fan of the Author just not this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected topic. Interesting read. Love all this authors books.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseReally interesting storyline that I wasn't expecting. More than your usual phyclogical thriller. Didn't give 5 stars as now and again I did skim read a little as quite long winded in parts with not as many twists as I would like

5.0 out of 5 stars So enjoyed this book!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseNot quite sure what to expect when I first began reading this book but as it progressed I was drawn in, turning each page eagerly to progress. That the story is based on true facts adds interest but the characters are believable and I was rooting for who seemed to be the underdog. A truly satisfying book to read, not the first that I’ve read by Michelle Frances and it won’t be the last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Page Turning
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it would be a similar story to The Girlfriend, but it was a completely different story of it's own merit.
I enjoy stories that have you guessing who the villain is. Although I figured the main villain, the author does well to make you second guess yourself. The last few chapters had me not wanting to put it down till I finished.
It's also made me want to go on holiday...
