I’m a happily married mom whose kids are grown! I've always written stories, but only found the courage to publish in my 40s. This midlife career change has been amazing and proves it's never too late to follow your dreams. I plan to keep writing for as long as my readers want my books. I love sharing the stories of the different people who live in my imagination. My books are filled with humor, a few tears, and the underlying message to never give up and keep hoping, even in the darkest of times, because life can change on a dime when you least expect it. This theme comes from a lifetime of lessons learned on my own hard journey through the pains of poverty, the loss of more loved ones than I’d care to count, and the struggles of living through chronic illnesses. Life can be hard, but it can also be good! Through it all I’ve found that love, laughter, and family can make all the difference, and that’s what I try to bring to every tale I tell.

    Lucien finds a dog near death by the roadside shot and bloody. When he gets close enough he realizes this is an omega wolf and his mate. He rushes him to a healer and saves his life by partially bonding him and takes all the pain upon himself. The omega lives and tells his story of his escape from a prison holding a dozen omegas meant for the auction block. All are called by a number rather by name and need to be rescued. This is a difficult story to read because of the abuse. Of course a rescue p!an ensued and all the prisoners are freed and the bad guys are killed. It is discovered that all the omega were kidnapped at birth by a doctor and nurse telling the mothers that their baby was stillborn. Lucian's mate chose to call himself after Charles Dickens becoming Charlie. Charlie discovers his family in Lucian's pack and the search is on to find the birth families of the rest. This is a very moving story with a hard fought HEA. A truly heart breaking sometimes humorous, but always loving book.

    Book 2 was almost like a book 1 with all the new characters and character development which I really enjoyed.

    As with all this authors work it is a little surface level and a quick whirlwind romance and babies ASAP but I'm not mad about it. What I am mad about is needing a family tree/ character list to keep everyone straight! Especially after the name change! I hope book 3 gives us a character list!

    Overall, a pretty solid story. Onto book 3!

    In this book we go back and further then where book 1 finished. Lucian came to find his fated mate Thirteen/ Charlie by the side of a highwsy.
    When Charlie is abe to tell the Westcoast Wolves and their friends where he and his brothers are held they stage a rescue with the help of the brothers who use their abilities. There are furthrt devlopments surrounding ' the brothers' but I won't give anything away. This story tells about harddhip, overcoming it, doing what is right and found family. Ofcourse there is a HEA and mpreg on page and an epic birthing scene.
    The crea tiom of the world side characters and storuline is as well done as I am used to by Ms Hawke.

I don't want to spoil it for you but the plot is getting more twisted and complex in a way just Ms Hawks could achieve. He has to get out, with the help of an outsider and his brothers, they have a plan of escape for him. Lucien is on his way back when spots a wolf in the side of the road. When he sees him, he knows he is his mate. The two them with the help of others have to free the other Omegas from their prison. Could not put this book down.

    I absolutely love Susi's books, she always has the imagination to set up new worlds for us to visit.

    This series is about wolves, with Alphas, Omegas and betas, Mpreg and True Mates. Great writing which always keeps us hooked.

    Thirteen is an Omega wolf kept hostage for just over 20 years after he was stolen at birth from his mother, along with 11 other omegas. They plot and plan an escape for one of them.

    Lucian, is one of the West Coast Alpha Wolves who we met in book 1, he has now been given his own pack to meet and get working into a proper pack.

    This book has everything, humour, escape, gun shots, deaths, births, true mates and of course the Happy Ever After that we all want. A great read.
