    The Demon Bride was an amazing book. Mary has been sucked through a strange portal and Gwain took off after her without consulting with anyone. He senses that she is something more that what she seems and is shocked to discover who she really is.

    We get to meet a lot of new big players in this one - Abbadon, Archangel Michael, and some of the mysterious fae themselves. As prophecies begin to unfold and new ones are brought to life, the entire world as we know it is in for quite the wake up call - and Mary and Gwain seem to be at the heart of it all. Their romance is an interesting one that has been unfolding for far longer than anyone realizes. Their history and future is one of the most romantic things I've ever seen. And at the end I wanted to scream, cry, and cheer for them.

    We can't forget about Elena and Karl, and Amy and Pueblo though. They all have an important part in the story as well. Amy has been feeling out of sorts since she was returned, and the reasons why are exciting and a little disconcerting. Her part of the story plays almost as important a role as our main characters.

    Karl and Elena are on a mission to save Elena's mother from the Shanka realm. This is a more minor part of the story, but triggers many of the other events. I loved how Dianna Hardy keeps all the players in active roles throughout each book. We never have to really say good-bye to them at the end. There is a spin-off that is more of an urban fantasy that I just started, and I'm hoping that it can live up to the standard this book just set.

    I love the increasing character development as well as the inticing and often spicy plot. The relationships are so strongly constructed and even though they are all mythical/half human entities connecting with them is so easy. I am already looking forward to the next book I'm sure it will be worth the wait if its anything like the first three. Highly suggest this as well as the first two from the series.

    I waited to write this review until I had completed the trilogy. And, wow, what a trilogy it is. They are novellas, so the stories are short, but the author has a done a brilliant job of world building here. Usually short stories make you feel as though you've stepped into the middle of a story and are only getting a brief glimpse into the characters lives. Not so here. Ms. Hardy has done an incredible job of giving us fully-fleshed, three-dimensional characters with plenty of action and history with a slightly different take on the supernatural and origins of earth. I won't give away plot-lines, I don't like spoiling a great read, but I highly recommend this entire series to anyone who also enjoys Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Thea Harrison, Seanan McGuire and Jim Butcher. I'm only thankful that I came across this book as an Amazon freebie. Dianna Hardy has quickly made my "must read" authors list.

    I can't wait til the next installment to see where this fantastic story is going.

    What an incredible mini-series these books would make. I can only hope someone is pitching this somewhere as a film project.

    I really liked all the three books in the Witching Pen Novels, they get me hooked and I want more! Now I have to wait until next year for the next book.

    The story develops at the edge of the apocalypse, with Gawin and Mary, a fallen angel and a "normal" human. Mary is on the jail when suddenly Abaddon abducts her and Gawin go to her rescue. As the story takes its form you will discover that Gawin and Mary have a love like no other, they seem as one.

    Amy is still struggling between her two "lovers", her former love, Paul, and, Pueblo, her new demon love. She discovers that she is pregnant and having a new form of baby.

    As for Elena and Karl. She goes with her mission of rescuing her mom from the Shanka dimension. Karl is supportive in this mission. Gawin tells Karl that he have a very important roll in the apocalypse.

    I really liked the story, has the perfect amount of love, action and suspense!

    I have enjoyed both the first two books in this series, but this book is by far my favourite. The question is how do I even begin to explain why?

    The recreation and view point on how heaven and hell - and everything in-between - came into existence would be the first reason. I love how Dianna has created this world and all the reasons behind why and how it is the way it is. She has made and shaped a world where mythical creatures and beings from scriptures co-exist. She has mingled folklore with, well, religious view points and it works so fantastically.

    The second reason would be Gwain and Mary. This is their story and my god, what a story. The intensity between the two, along with the humour and the sorrow, and then there are all the smoking hot sexual scenes; they are by far my favourite couple. They have come a long way out of all of the couples, well, Gwain has and the moments of realization when they discover who they are and to each other . . . Both beautiful and heartbreaking, and downright moving.

    The third reason for why I loved this book so much would be because all the characters stories are heading to the climax; to the reason why they are who they are, and why everything that has happened over the last three books has happened. Anxiety kicks in here, because everything has just gotten really serious.

    The ending is fabulous; sad, but brilliant. The cliff-hanger will have you chomping on your arm and dying to know what happens next, and yes, there is one more book in this series before the true "The End."
    I am very much looking forward to reading the final instalment, the spin-off novel, "The Last Dragon," which will be released on October 4th 2013.

    I loved the first 3 instalments of this trilogy (well, one of the first three is actually a prequel, so I don't know whether it really counts as an actual part of the trilogy), and I was really looking forward to the release of the final part of the story. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. I loved all of the characters - they were all so well drawn out, that I felt as though I personally knew them. I felt their sadness, loss, excitement and love for one another (Mary and Gwain - need I say more!! Well, most likely, yes, if you haven't read it yet, but I wouldn't want to spoil it!). My only complaint: too short! I reached the end of the story on my kindle, and I could have cried with frustration. I honestly didn't want it to end, and I suppose it won't. The next novel 'The Last Dragon' is expected sometime in 2013 I think, and I, for one, am eagerly anticipating it!
