Writing has always been a passion of mine (my first book was The Day I Ate the Milkyway, a true fourth-grade masterpiece). I live in magical Northern California with my own handsome alpha dude, sometimes known as Mr. Mika Lane, and two devilish cats named Chuck and Murray.

 

A dual citizen of the United States and Ireland, I have on more than one occasion spent my last dollar on a plane ticket somewhere. I often try new recipes on unsuspecting friends, search out hiding places to read undisturbed, and sadly kill every houseplant I bring home.

    This was 1 of the first RH Books I read. A woman that has 30 days to get married in order to get an inheritance but she’s single with no current prospects. Well what should she do when she is trying to keep the inheritance and therefore the stipulations only know to a few people? This all sounds like no problem right? Lol. Well what about when not 1 but 4 prospects come into the picture at the same time? Yep as you can see this woman has some major obstacles in her way before she can meet the stipulations and receive the inheritance. The author does a great job of introducing every part of the equation as an individual aspect then brings it all together to form the whole picture smoothly. There are sex scenes in the book but the relationships are built between characters on more than the physical so it made it be not all about the sex and actually followed a good storyline. She had many challenges but her 4 men helped her get through. Well worth the read.

    This book is full of ridiculousness, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I just wasn't feeling this one. Overall, intriguing storyline, interesting characters, and I think it could have been more. I'm all for reverse harem, as well, but I felt crowded in this book. The last chapter was a nice little wrap up, which was appreciated. I don't think I'll be moving on to other books in this series.

    There were hot scenes, some of them felt repetitive though. The story seemed to try to cram as many sex scenes in as possible, at the expense of character development and a solid plot. We knew the problem from the beginning, and the story never really arched at all. Maybe if the book was longer it would have given more room and time to actually develop the characters and see the story grow and develop, because they are like-able characters. Decent read, but not one I’ll want to come back and read again.

    Having said that, I thought there was a lack in the character development department, and there wasn't much in the way of people feeling their feelings. I also thought Garnet's mother would be a part of the friction and climax, but she wasn't. There were also a lot of typos and grammatical errors.

    I was surprised and pleased with this wonderful story. I normally read RH supernatural or futuristic type books, but thought I would try a more realistic polyamourous scenario to see if it would compare. I was able to follow the story line easily, and keep the characters in my mind as I read. The steady steam build up, and rapport of all 5 main characters was realistic while the true plot of inherited money by forced marriage kind of left your mind, allowing for a "very" happy ending to become the most wanted outcome.     Ernsthaft, was erwarten Leser, wenn von einem "Harem" die Rede ist - genau "das" und das gibt es hier zur genüge. Vorausgesetzt man definiert "Harem" als "Palast der Lüste" - definiert man es nur als "Aufenthaltsort" liegt man falsch- zumindest in diesem Buch.

    Was mir gefallen hat, war die Idee an sich, dass ein unerwarteter Geldsegen nur durch eine Hochzeit innerhalb von 30 Tagen möglich sei.
    Was mir langweilig wurde, waren die Sexszenen - liest sich alles nahezu gleich. Keine unterschiedlichen Bezeichnungen und auch wenig Varianten. Hat man die zweite dieser Szenen gelesen, kennt man die nachfolgenden schon fast wortwörtlich.

    Ansonsten ein netter kleiner Schmöker für Zwischendurch, aber nichts, was einen 5ten Stern wert wäre.

    I kinda felt like the part of the story where she is meeting the 4 guys and first getting to know them took forever. The part where she moved everyone into the house to get to know them all better flew by with not enough details. I kinda felt Matty might have made the story fun had he also been moved in too.. But the end of the story was just say too rushed with lots of important bits skipped over... I much would have rather missed some of the details of their first meeting and dates to have more about the conversations where the guys discussed their relationship. The guys view points were included but these important parts weren't part of the guy's viewpoints. I hope the stories in the series get more fluid or faster paced... I liked the mountain men series.
