"The Missing Yesterdays is a quick-moving story that keeps readers involved from the very first page." - One stop fiction - 5 Star review"This is a book of pure adventure that should appeal to adults and younger readers as well with its absent-minded professor, an engaging teenager, time travel, suspense, and excitement." - One stop fiction - 5 Star review
From Reader's Favorite - 5-Star review

The Missing Yesterdays: The Adventures of Tremain and Christopher by Terry Marchion is a fun, light-hearted time-traveling tale. The two main characters are an eccentric scientist named Tremain and his teenage nephew, Christopher. With the help of Tremain's latest invention, they end up wiping out their past. They only have a short time left before the two of them also disappear ... unless Tremain can figure out how to go back in time and correct his mistake. Their journey back goes much farther than they expected and they find themselves in a very strange environment that gives them more questions than answers.

The Missing Yesterdays is the first in a series of books by Terry Marchion centering around the scientific adventures of Christopher and Tremain. A note from the author says this book was influenced by the television serials of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. After I finished this book, I felt that he had succeeded in crafting a book that hearkened back to those classic shows like Buck Rogers, Star Trek, and Doctor Who. The action is fast paced and each chapter ends with either a cliffhanger or a teaser to encourages the reader to continue on. The characters are not deep, but they are fleshed out just enough to make me like them and want to see what would become of them. My favorite element of this book was the way it never got predictable or boring. On the contrary; the plot of The Missing Yesterdays is very clever and creative. This first installment in The Adventures of Tremain and Christopher series is a novel that has all the elements of a great science fiction television serial.

Delightful sci-fi adventure story about a young boy and his smart, overly creative, and absent minded uncle. The reader gets to share their experiences trying to unravel the awkward situation that they find themselves in, when something goes wrong with the uncle's latest invention.
It is probably written for young adult readers, but this old retired guy loved it too. It was a nice break from stories involving mature topics and situations. I'd almost forgotten that a story could be told without including fighting, cursing, or sexual situations.
I'm truly looking forward to reading "The Purloined Pictograph", which is the next story in this series.

To be honest, I read this book because I just found out that my neighbor of 16 years was an author. guess we don't communicate very often. Anyhow, it was a fun read and I have recommended it to my granddaughters. I usually read mysteries and hardy adventure books, but this was a fun break and held my attention throughout. In other words, good for all ages. I will read more.

This has got to be one of the absolute best stories I have read in a while. Loads of fun and entertaining from the first page. This is a wonderful story for people of all ages. It is very well written and well paced. I really hope that the author decides to send Tremain and Christopher on more adventures. I can see this becoming a series of their adventures, if the author should choose to go that route.

A fun introduction to the series, that found its feet half way in as the pace increased. Tremain and his nephew are great characters, easy to engage with, and the story had a real old fashioned adventure quality that reminded me of Rider Haggard and Jules Verne. Loved the sci-fi elements too! Time travel, space travel, and an alternate earth. Really enjoyable.
I look forward to further adventures of Tremain!

I read book two, three, and four. And now I'm back to catch up with book one which I so mysteriously skipped. Because this series is THAT good.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great story for older children

A fun book for older children, with elements of Dr Who, Star Trek, and time-travelling adventures. Christopher's Uncle Tremain is the classical 'mad scientist' type, mislaying his sandwiches while being able to invent all sorts of incredible machines. When Christopher goes to visit him one day, things start to go wrong when one of his uncle's machines starts to malfunction.
A great story that picks up pace in the second half, with great characters who have to race against time to stop their past being erased. An easy-to-read book with a story that is resolved at the end, without a cliff hanger. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has all the makings of a great series

On the planet of New Earth, Christopher and his scientist uncle try out a new invention, but a test with the matter transmitter goes wrong, prompting the whole of history to vanish. Finding themselves in a strangely familiar environment, the pair are faced with the challenge of getting things back to normal.

This is the first volume in Terry Marchion’s Adventures of Tremain and Christopher books and is also the first time I’ve ventured into this author’s work. The tempo varies a little after a rousing start, but then picks up about halfway through. I particularly enjoyed the last section of the story as the excitement builds to a jolly rattling pace, before sliding into a pleasantly unexpected ending. Though the dialogue is a wee bit drawn out at times, the narrative is otherwise clever and well written and there’s some nice humour, which helps prevent the tale from becoming too self-important.

This has all the makings of a great series, so much so, I’ve already bought book two - The Purloined Pictograph.

A fun intro to the world of Christopher and his eccentric scientist uncle, Tremain. This story has all the feels of a classic episodic family sci-fi series. A gentle adventure with tech wizardry and a mystery to solve that keeps bringing the entertainment until the last page.
