    I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Loved the well-drawn characters, their history, their attraction and the way they finally admitted to the attraction and took that next step. The angst on both sides was great, and I was happy that the heroine took matters into her own hands to reveal the ugliness of her fiance. So glad she got her HEA!

    It’s been a year since the death of Copper Stone’s best friend, Tony Abbott, and he still blames himself for the accident that took his life. When Tony’s mother, Loretta, asks Cooper for help stopping her daughter Lauren, from marrying Tony’s corrupt business partner, Cooper agrees to help her. He will do anything for that family.

    Lauren has finally found true love and is in the process of planning her wedding when her mother realizes Roger isn’t being honest. She can’t let Lauren marry him. Loretta comes up a plan to get her out of the house and them both living at Cooper’s ranch where they can work together to keep Lauren from making a big mistake. Lauren has never gotten over her crush on Cooper and staying together brings up some confusing thoughts, especially as time gets closer to the wedding. Will Cooper be able to pull the plug on the wedding before it’s too late?

    This was a really good story. When I got near the end of the book, I had wondered how Lauren and Cooper would get their happily ever after because it sure looked like they wouldn’t be granted it. But, Lauren took care of Roger in the end, and boy did she do it in a memorable way.

    Grief, deception and a hard-earned happily ever after! With the kick-off to a new duet about the Stone brothers, Charlene Sands brings us a story of a long-ago crush turning into forever! We’re quickly drawn into the heart of this story by the set up of what Cooper’s been going through in recent months. Once Lauren and her family are brought into the picture, we’re solidly on board with seeing this story through. The characters are very easy to like, the story line is easy to believe and entertaining, and the heartfelt writing throughout really has a way of pulling at a heartstring! Really good read!

    Cooper Stone was best friends with Lauren’s big brother for more years than he can count. He has a good bit of guilt riding on his shoulders these days and would do just about anything to make himself useful and to make sure Lauren is happy. Including hosting her wedding to a smarmy guy!

    Lauren Abbott had a childhood crush on Cooper back in the day, and when she’s put into close proximity to him again, she can’t believe some of those old feelings flare up so easily again. She’s engaged to another man and planning to marry him in a few short weeks. Only when she finds out some shady shady going ons, she just might be changing her mind!

    The Texan's Wedding Escape by Charlene Sands is the story of Lauren and Cooper.
    Lauren has always had a crush on Cooper but nothing ever became of it and now is rushing to marry Roger. Cooper blames himself for the accident that killed his best friend and Lauren's brother but when he is asked to intervene in this rushed marriage he does so. But this leads to him and Lauren getting closer and finding that they can go beyond the lost of the death they both mourn.

    Lauren lost her brother Tony. She is engaged to his business partner. Cooper and Tony were best friends. He has to stop Lauren from making the mistake of marrying the wrong man. I loved this book!
