    I’ve never read a BDSM book where the woman is the top or dominatrix so this was an entirely new reading experience for me. This book was fast-paced, well-written and captivating.
    Flash is a former Navy SEAL and now works at Harlow Security. He blames himself b/c he “allowed” a client to be killed, which brought on a past bad experience with his sister. He feels like he needs punishment for his misdeeds. Sage is very perceptive and she notices all the hints that Flash needs her specialty. That scene is OTT amazing. HOT and sensitive. What a combo!
    Sage is a Dominatrix at Edge, a BDSM club. Someone is stalking her and one night it gets too real. I loved how Ms. Rayne put in enough “bad guys” to keep us wondering who the stalker was. He was a surprise!
    Of course, there’s heat between Flash and Sage and some deliciously naughty episodes. LOVED this book and have already planned to read the rest in this series. Ms. Rayne asked me through Goodreads to review this book and I’m so glad she did!

Flash had some serious hangups about letting down the women in his life and not being there when he is most needed. Then he meets Mistress Sage and she helps him release some of the guilt he is carrying around with him. Sage needs protecting will Flash be up to the task? Can she convince him that he won’t let her down? Will Sage be willing to give up control to Flash? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next installment in the series!

    An exceptional start to a new series from Cynthia Rayne. I love the teasers about each person at Harlow Security without taking attention from Flash and Sage. From their first meeting you can feel the chemistry between Flash and Sage but both are are dominate personalities and in no mind to give into another's control, or are they. Sage is a dominatrix with a stalker and now has Flash, ex SEAL, as her personal bodyguard, at his instance. When Sage helps Flash unleash some of his inner demons of pain and guilt their friendship shifts but Flash has to wonder is this just a job or is it more? Flash and Sage are at a crossroad until the stalker is found before it's too late.
