4.2 out of 5 stars 545 ratings

Caged her whole life, Raz escapes only to find herself caught in a tender trap created by the Alpha and Beta of the North Woods pack.

A TRIAD FAMILY

If only Raz had kept running, she wouldn't have wound up on wolf pack lands putting herself in double danger. A three-hundred pound Bengal tiger shifter, Raz had been caged for as long as she can remember; tortured, beaten and used for sport. Finally, she's escaped, but the hunters are hot on her heels, and she's racing against time. When she heard the wolf pups' cries, Raz couldn't help herself; she went to their rescue even knowing that her trespass could mean her life. Now she's wedged between the Alpha and Beta of the North Woods pack, and they're insisting she's their True Mate.

In Tigress: Fated Mates Book 1, Raz has spent the best part of half a century locked in a cage and is free for the first time in her memory. Acutely aware that she is on pack land and risks attacks from wolves, she is also conscious of the men that hunt her and wish to take her back into captivity. She cannot, however, ignore the harrowing sounds of wolf cubs under attack from hyenas and, risking her own safety, she shields them from harm. Sustaining serious injury, she is compelled to accept help from the wolves that find her close to death. Tigress by Lilli Carlisle is the story of Raz, a shifter tigress, and her connection with Xander and Axel, the alpha and beta shifter wolves who form her destiny.

I loved this book! Tigress: Fated Mates Book 1 is a romance story that takes place in an unconventional setting. Shifters are humans who can take animal form and live in societies that integrate with humans. The connection between Raz and her potential mates is electric, but she is struggling to come to terms with the concept of 'True Mate.' She also has to contend with a society that is welcoming to all who cause no harm and embraces all species and sexual orientations. Raz has to change all her preconceived ideas and allow love into her life. Tigress by Lilli Carlisle shows us what can happen when respect and love overcome prejudice and hate. Enjoy this sizzling rollercoaster of a story and be warned, you will be left wanting more. I can't wait to follow Raz and her mates into the future!

4 Star Tigress
4 out of 5 stars
4 Star Tigress
Raz escaped the cage she been in her whole life only to find herself tenderly trapped between the Alpha and the Beta of the North Woods pack. Readers can’t help but become completely engrossed in this decadent and gripping shifter romance with strong, vivid characters and a fascinating love. The relationship is full of depth and lots of emotional turmoil that makes it easy for readers to connect with them and understand their motivations and the passion is sinfully decadent and full of sizzling chemistry and scorching passion. The plot is fast paced and flows smoothly throughout the story with some thrilling suspense and excitement when others show up, claiming that Raz belongs to them and when Raz learns some astonishing news about herself. The intriguing, exotic world and the wonderful characters is well developed and has some erotic twist that makes this world even hotter and more exhilarating, although this story is a little on the short side and has an overall series story arc that has readers impatiently awaiting to find out what happens next.

I loved this book! You are immediately taken in by Raz's bravery & selflessness from the first. Her quirky sense of humor & compelling backstory make this a great read. Her two sexy wolves were not just excellent imaginary eye-candy, but their compassion with a woman who was, in many ways, beginning her life from scratch was endearing.

I haven't read any of Ms. Carlisle's novels before this one, but I'm looking forward to reading more!

    *Spoiler Alert*

This is a story of Raz who was kidnapped as a child after her mother died protecting her. Raised in a cage for most of her life in a secret place with other shifters who were being held and used for hunting games by the hunters finally escaped and as she's running she hears the cries of wolf pups. She comes upon a scene where Hyenas had kidnapped these 2 pups and were terrorising them and she jumps in front of them to protect them and fight them off. She manages to get a couple but the other hyenas surrounded her and she fights them even though she is gravelly injured and this is where her true mates shows up and fight the remaining hyenas and the alpha and beta realised they have finally found the true mate who saved 2 members of their pack. Before they can thank her for saving the pups she used what was remained of her strength to jump and take off before the alpha and beta could stop her knowing she is injured. The alpha and his beta tracked their mate down and call upon the pack doc to come and heal her realising that she couldnt keep her eyes open any longer the alpha and beta realise they are about to lose their mate if she is ignoring their command to stay awake. They rushed her back to their packland to tend and heal her. Loved this book, read it in one sitting and what I loved most was how she came into her powers where the whole pack were in awe and astonished and after her mating with her mates she inherited more than just her powers where she ends up having a her entire body covered in tattoo and finds out what it means cos only one other person had this particular tattoo and it was over a thousand years ago and she was a warrior and has not been seen since on another person. This was such a good story and the end felt kind of rushed and the story was over. It felt like there could of been more added like the fact she was pregnant and thought we would get to her about her pregnancy and what did she have and how many. But it didnt. Really looking forward to Mason Rose and Riker's next.

There's a past she can't remember and one she wishes she could forget.
When she escapes the hunters who've caged and tortured her and other shifters for years, she thinks her life is finally going to be her own. Fate has other plans.
The sound of innocent pups in trouble diverts her. Determined to save them despite the fact that it put her in danger once more, she's almost killed in the process. Thankfully though, her mates are nearby and eager to not only protect her while she heals but also to help her become the woman she is destined to be.

From the beginning you are drawn into Raz's life. It starts with action and keeps fully invested. You are following Razelle's story. You discover who Raz is and the role she plays in this world. I felt like it had a cliffhanger ending. I can't wait til the next book.

This story is one of salvation after a life of torture and captivity. Raz managed to escape from hunters that kept her in captivity for most of her life when she came across two wolf shifter cubs being terrorized by four hyenas. She is severely injured defending them until help arrives and the Alpha and beta discovers that she is their Destined Mate. What follows is a love story and one of discovery of a life outside of a cage for a tigress who finds herself mated to two powerful wolf shifters. The only fault that I had with this book is that it was too sweet. I'm not used to shifter stories being quite this gentle and tender. Enjoy. 💙💛💚💜

From the sample, I thought this had promise, but the juvenile writing started to get to me. The heroine, Raz, is utterly perfect in every way - beautiful, talented, the first mage born in 200 years, immensely powerful, etc etc etc. I prefer real characters that are well developed and have flaws rather than being the most perfect. It was also slightly nauseating how Xander and Alex were all over her, loving her from minute 1. I like the concept of fated mates, but the insta-love was over the top and syrupy. Also, call me silly, but I don't buy that she learned all that she knew from tv. First, evil guards are generally NOT going to be watching HGTV, and second, children need human interaction, there are studies that prove that television is NOT a good way to impart knowledge. Oh, and don't get me started on the scene where she asks Jamie about sex and she responds with clinical words that magically Raz understands (decidedly uncomfortable scene and weird vibe - hey, can you bring your toddler to my room so we can all sit on a couch and you can tell me about double penetration??) I finally returned the book when it went on a political tangent for no discernible reason. Juvenile plot, 2d characters, over the top insta-love and the author's political bias all made for an un enjoyable read unfortunately.

I'm not sure why the one star?? I read all the way to the end and loved it!! It was well done and worded beautifully! This is a new author to me and I look forward to reading her next book! Raz comes from a life of hell and turns herself into the warrior she was meant to be. Her mates are protective as is normal with wolves and the extended family welcoming and loving. I also loved the fact that the pack takes in all who need help. No matter their orientation or background. As long as they are good people.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for those who love their romances super, extra sweet
Reviewed in Australia on July 19, 2019

A sweet story. Lots of love, acceptance and tolerance for all. Apart from some minor social awkwardness and references to the heroines traumatic past, there was not much evidence of someone raised with abuse and constant trauma, she was very sweet, kind and loving. This is definitely not a dark romance.

One problem I had with the story was that the h (sorry for the spoilers) was given all these additional powers, basically making her an elite super powered shifter, and she never used them. In the end when she faced an enemy she didn't use ANY of her awesome abilities... she just ran around and got hurt. This made it feel as if her powers were kind of gratuitous, given only to make the reader think the h is amazing, but it fell flat for me.

I tried, I really really did, I wanted to love this book. 2 guys for 1 lucky girl, wolf shifters and a tigress! I wanted her to kick ass and take no prisoners, I wanted them to be everything a lead male is... I didn't get that.
Instead I got a itty bitty kitty who got her ass handed to her by 3 hyenas in the first few chapters, the next few are how she is constantly belittled by her mates when they call her <little cat> she is weak and the ready made, "we are fated" crap is getting old fast.
