Trusting Love (Welcome To Hardy Falls Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 43 ratings

A little trouble might be just what they need…

When Josie Kline seeks shelter from a surprise blizzard at her best friend’s tavern, she expects to be on her own for the night. Instead she comes face to face with a grumpy and darkly handsome stranger who claims to be there to run the generator.

Trapped by the storm, power out, Josie finds herself intrigued by her attractive and irritating companion. A really bad move considering the current state of her life. She needs to figure out her future and get out of town again, not waste time wondering about the sexy man she just met.

It still amazes Mateo Guerrero that he somehow ended up working as a dishwasher/bartender in a small town in Pennsylvania. He certainly does not need an annoying, tempting, beautiful woman blowing into his world and screwing him up even more.

Overwhelming desire and scorching passion compete with the ghosts of the past to mess with everything Josie and Mat were sure they wanted. Will they be brave enough to take a chance? Or will they just let it go by?

Trusting Love
is the third book in the Welcome to Hardy Falls series. It's a contemporary romance with strong language, sexy times, and two stubborn people who get a heck of a lot more than they ever expected.

Betsy Horvath was raised on a steady diet of old MGM musicals, Nancy Drew, and Harlequin romances, so nobody should have been shocked to discover that one day she would be writing romance novels of her own. Especially not once became clear that, when given the opportunity, she could sing the entire soundtrack from the Sound of Music, regardless of whether or not anyone asked her to (nobody ever did), and that the only books she ever wanted to read were the ones with happy endings (which made things interesting in college).

Let’s face it, Betsy is a hopeless romantic. But she’s good with it.

Sweet romance with a community that adds depth to the story. The characters are well developed and the reader really gets swept up in the town and the gossip. Such a fun story

Josie worked for an ad agency in Manhattan for a unethical, lying manager who presented her good work as his. He manages to get her laid off so he can hire his friend. With no paycheck, Josie has to give up her apartment, and head on home to her small hometown. Unfortunately, due to a faulty weather report, she ends up in a blizzard like snowstorm. She gets as far as her best friend Hannah’s bar, stops and goes in. Well, the dishwasher is in the bar to keep an eye on the generator so the perishables don’t go bad. Mat is from Texas. His background unravels later in the book, but he is definitely not interested in Josie, or is he? Hannah’s uncle has run off with the assets leaving her to struggle. Compounding the problem is her competition is upgrading and will steal her customers. Josie loves her town and desperately wants to help Hannah. Ding, ding, ding.....what does Josie do best? It was enjoyable because it mirrors real life situations and make the story very relatable. And, so sorry for some of you folks, there is lots of dialogue between the steamy parts that are tastefully done. I’m done now! Good read!!

Trusting Love is a sweet, small town story.

Josie is heading back to her Pennsylvania hometown of Hardy Falls during a huge blizzard. When she almost plows her ancient car into her friend's tavern, she's surprised to see there's someone there. It's not her friend out in the blizzard, though. Mateo is the tavern's dishwasher and when the two first meet, their chemistry is obvious immediately. But, a casual fling is all either of the two is willing to indulge in, with neither of them wanting to think of a relationship at this point in their lives. Of course, that's never how things work out, but they will have to face a lot of obstacles if they're to make it together.

I liked Trusting Love with its small town, relatable characters. There are no billionaires or celebrities here, just real, interesting, likable people.

I loved this book. I just finish this after binge-reading it all weekend. lol. (-I started it on Friday afternoon) lol. Josie Kline is fleeing her life in the "Big City" of Manhattan where she was thrown out of town on her rear. Licking her wounds, she heads for her hometown "Hardy Falls." in a raging blizzard. Once there she lands job at the local tavern. "The Country Time Bar+Grill" as a bartender. She meets Mateo Guerrero. He is the dishwasher. They are instantly attracted to each other but keep away because neither are ready to have a serious relationship right now. However, the attraction is so great that they agree on a "Friends With Benefits" relationship with no-strings attracted. This thought quickly dissolves and they find they care for each other much more than they had ever intended. This book was a lot of fun to read with real life and situation that they instantly could relate too. I felt as if I were eavesdropping on these friends at the bar. I also felt some of the conversations were a conversation I've had with my own friends. lol. This book deserves more than 5. It should be 5 1/2 or 6. Is the author planning to write a sequel to his book? Does anyone know? lol, I would buy it in a second. Great Read. I received this book as an ARC from Hidden Gems for an honest review.

The ARC I received for this book was in exchange for an honest review. The author also provided me a copy of the first book in the series. Unfortunately for completing my review in time, I read the first book well, first. It gave me a good idea about the overall picture of the characters and the environment. This is the story of Mat and Josie, who are both introduced in the first book, but their relationship only starts in this book. Their attraction is instant but both have issues and baggage that prevents them from seeing a future in the fling they start.

I like the characters in this book, but have to say at times found them annoying. The female characters seem so hardheaded and at times worked against their own interests. Yet, in the end, I have to say this author found the best way for Josie to sort out her decision that actually made the most sense. Many times when you have the main character return to their hometown, how they work out issues or look at the future seems flawed. This author really came up with an ending that was very logical for fiction!

This is a new writer for me but for the pure pleasure received from this delightful little romance I am compelled to give five stars. Josie Kline has lost her ad agency job in Manhattan owing to a lousy boss who stole her ideas and credit which meant that she could no longer afford expensive NYC rent. She decided to return to her hometown in the Pocono Mountains of NY. The problem was she was on the road in a worsening snowstorm and barely made it to Hardy Falls where her best friend, Hannah, ran a bar but did get a bartending job. Her eyes were attracted to Mat Guerrero the dishwasher and he to her furtively. They both flirted but did not want anything serious so agreed to a casual sex thing except that their feelings were so strong for each other that they could not keep it that way. Mat's history reared its problem face and other issues had to be overcome. Josie's talents in marketing were needed by her friend, Hannah, to compete with a competitor and all was well in this little town. I read this ARC and willingly reviewed.

Josie returns to Hardy Falls after losing her job and apartment in a snowstorm. She stops at her friends bar, Country Time, because the roads are getting too bad where she meets sexy Mat. They are both not sure they want to start a relationship, but they end up seeing each other anyway. They both have trust issues and neither one is very forthcoming about their feelings. Sweet small town romance with some spicy scenes. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
