Twist Tied: A Love Between the Pages Novel (Book 3) Kindle Edition
I've spent years devouring steamy stories that have left me fit to be tied. You don't make it to where I am by shying away from the kinky stuff. As the assistant to one of the top erotica authors, I've seen it all.
But what I didn't see coming was falling for my boss's main rival. Author Wyatt Chase is a whole new brand of hot. His dirty imagination, gorgeous face, and god-like body make me want to fall at his feet.
But instead, I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse. Life is about to imitate art, in the most primal of ways.
His readers think they know him from his stories, but it turns out they weren't even close. And neither was I. But there is no denying the chemistry is five stars.
Something is bound to unravel...

About the author

Heather Guimond is a Los Angeles native, a fact she's abnormally proud of. When she's not trying to write something that will make people laugh or rip their hearts out (or both!) she's either reading or doing her best to crack the whip on her three home-schooled teenagers. She loves all things witty and wise-cracking, as well most varieties of smart-assery. Other favorites include French roast coffee in copious amounts and the dirtiest Dirty Martinis she can find. More than anything, she hopes she writes books that stick with the reader long after the pages have been read.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseStarting the third book in the series, I thought I knew what I was getting .... I was so wrong! Twist Tied is not the story I was expecting ... Wyatt & Clarisse’s story was a unique take on opposites attract and role reversal ... making the story even better than I could have ever anticipated!! Clarisse, who appeared as a relevant secondary character in the previous two books in the series, and Wyatt a peripheral character in the earlier books come together in Twist Tied to prove that while the journey to happily-ever-after may be winding ... once the destination is reached it can be a forever bond. The relationship that develops over time between Wyatt and Clarisse is guided by two of life’s truisms: (1) people are seldom what they appear to be on the surface and (2) what someone thinks they want is not always what they truly need. From the start, Clarisse sets out to “get personal” while Wyatt strives to “stay professional” creating the perfect scenario for a slow burn with explosive results. Heather Guimond’s vivid descriptions and clever dialogue provide a plethora of laugh-out-loud moments throughout the well-written story. Twist Tied is a captivating read that will have you laughing at Clarissa and Wyatt’s antics one minute and shaking your head in awe at their audacity the next ... making this a story to remember! This latest addition to the Love Between the Pages Series is one not to be missed!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseHe is nothing like his fans think. He is a writer of erotic fiction and Clarisse is determined to be a part of his adventures. This story had me all caught up in Clarisse and Wyatt's journey of discovery into BDSM. It is a well written story and I enjoyed connecting with these characters.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2024Format: KindleI liked the premise of this story. Erotic romance novelist Wyatt tends to write BDSM heavy books, but most readers don't realize his scenes come more from his imagination than from experiences. He's dabbled in a few D/s relations but over the past year some of his actions related to this have landed him in hot water. Clarisse, assistant to fellow erotic romance writer Gage, wants to be a sub and having read Wyatt's work, decides he’ll be the perfect (DOM) partner to teach her. She seeks him out at a conference and convinces him to hire her as an assistant while he works on repairing his tarnished reputation. She quickly learns however, even though he's up for taking this journey with her, he isn't imbedded in that lifestyle like she'd imagined.
I didn't necessarily dislike Clarisse in the previous books but l also didn't particularly like her. I really wanted this book to change that, but unfortunately it didn't. I think I actually like her less. Her complete lack of self-awareness irritated me to no end. She almost became obsessive with this thing she thinks she desperately wants, even though she clearly doesn't really grasp what she’s asking for. I’m glad she finally swallowed her pride before Wyatt got away, though I wouldn't have been upset had it gone differently because I think he could have found better. On that note, I didn't expect to like Wyatt as much, or at least not right away but I actually loved him. He is facing the fallout of some pretty big transgressions but he seems genuinely sorry and like he does truly want to change and do better. He is patient with Clarisse, loving her for who she is and he seems to know her well enough to know what she really wants/needs, even if she doesn't. I thought within this series Gage would be a hard book boyfriend to beat but Wyatt did so easily for me. However, as much as I loved him, and don't regret reading this story to bring closure to the series, this book just wasn't my favorite.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWyatt writes erotic romance novels and his PA has just quit to get married. Clarisse is one of the best PAs in the business and works for another erotic romance writer and his wife. She has had Wyatt on her radar for some time and when the opportunity comes, she meets him at a book signing and becomes his PA.
There is definite chemistry between them. Wyatt had an incident happen in his past that has made him keep his private life very private. Clarisse has a secret agenda for Wyatt. She wants to become his sub. This leads to some fun, sexy times between them. Wyatt writes erotic D/s books by research alone. He has never actually experienced that lifestyle.
I enjoyed this book very much! Clarisse was such a cute, sassy and bossy woman you couldn't help but love her. Wyatt was so sweet. He was the perfect boyfriend. They made such a cute couple. And I loved their friends! This is a standalone with dual POVs and a HEA.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseTwist Tied is book 3 in the Love Between the Pages. It's a steamy, instalove, OTT, romantic comedy. Wyatt is a hunky erotic author who has made some mistakes in his past. His books focus on BDSM themes. Clarisse is the sassy, bossy, headstrong assistant to Gage (erotic author in book 1). She thinks she wants to be a submissive but wants Wyatt to teach her about the lifestyle. Wyatt, while extremely attracted to Clarisse, doesn't really practice, rather researches themes for his novels. But he decides to try for Clarisse, especially after she becomes his assistant. But does Clarisse know what she wants? There are a lot of funny moments as they fumble through and some great witty banter. The chemistry was decent, but Clarisse annoyed me. I did love Wyatt, and after a lot of drama, we got a happy ending. It was good, but I liked the first 2 books in the series better. 3.5☆s.

3.0 out of 5 stars A slow start and wobbly middle, but the ending was good
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is the 3rd book in a series but the 1st one I read, though that didn't pose a problem as it read just fine as a standalone. Although, I'm not sure if all the peripheral characters they spoke to were from the other books… If so, then maybe reading the others first could be helpful. I did like Rae for telling Clarisse how it is when she came whining to her after Wyatt stormed out, though.
I felt bad for Wyatt as he struggled to live up to Clarisse's ideals, and I am glad he stood up for himself. Clarisse didn't seem to know what she wanted.
She also seems to have no clue what the lifestyle involves, but in a century where the internet it so accessible, researching should be pretty much automatic. I'm in my mid 50s, and the first thing I do when I don't know about something is look it up online and sift through the results to figure out which websites are reliable about the subject. I find it hard to believe someone from a younger generation, especially a PA who has to handle social media and whatever else her clients might need, would not be able to figure it out.
At least Wyatt knows about research, something Clarisse was shocked about. She assumed that, just because Wyatt wrote this type of stories, he had firsthand experience. It never occurred to her that he could be researching and making it up as he wrote? That was part of my problem throughout, I think. She didn't behave in a way that felt real to me.
Having said that, the dancing scene at the after party and the countdown one were fun. Poor Wyatt trying to keep from getting himself into trouble again, trying to be sweet and keep himself under wrap… Then he goes and hires her as his PA and tries to convince himself that he can keep things professional. Famous last words in romance, that.
I liked chapter 9 too. Poor Wyatt's mouth getting him in trouble again lol. One of my favourite was chapter 11, though. Seeing Wyatt's thoughts and his reaction was good.
I really liked the end too, Clarisse finally getting her head together, Wyatt keeping the door open without letting himself be trampled again, and their heart to heart talk at the wedding made up for some of my misgivings.
