About the Author

Aside from her family and her Savior, Robin Patchen has two loves—writing and traveling. If she could combine them, she’d spend a lot of time sitting in front of her laptop at sidewalk cafes and ski lodges and beachside burger joints. She’d visit every place in the entire world—twice, if possible—and craft stories and tell people about her Savior. Alas, time is too short and money is too scarce for Patchen to traipse all over the globe, even if her husband and kids wanted to go with her. So she stays in Oklahoma, shares the Good News when she can, and writes to illustrate the unending grace of God through the power and magic of story.

Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. When she’s not writing, she’s editing or reading, proving most of her life revolves around the twenty-six letters of the alphabet.

I loved this story. I really loved everything about it. I figured out one of the kidnappers but that didn’t spoil a thing. I loved the friendship the characters shared and love and respect the main characters showed each other which made it a beautiful romance with tons of suspense. While I couldn’t put it down I didn’t want it to end. I’m grateful Robin Patchen has continued the series because I can’t wait to find out more about this group of characters. I hope Robin keeps writing such great romantic suspense novels.

This was a good story that a had an interesting plot and very likeable characters. There was edge of the seat excitement, how could that happen questions, I can't believe that moments. Good book on many levels touching on several genres of reading.

This was a good suspense novel which will keep the reader engaged from the beginning to the end.

I enjoyed the mystery about the missing money and joining Nate and Marisa in following the clues to find the missing money, but more importantly find Marisa’s kidnapped daughter.

Though I did guess one twist correct with who was party to the kidnapping, there was still a lot of mysteries and unanswered questions to keep me interested till the end.

I enjoyed this book. The story line was interesting and twisted. I liked the flawed yet human people who did the right thing. Even though I figured out the bad ones I never did figure out who actually stole the money.
There was intrigue, romance, drama and trauma, and no perfect people.
Sometimes I skipped some of the monologue going through their heads. It got repetitive but overall I really enjoyed reading this. Even when the bad guys were doing their stuff most of it was in the 3rd person, not often active and descriptive. That is better for me. I don’t like being scared.
Read this! It is well worth it.

This is an exciting story that will keep you turning the pages. Some wonderful characters that give their all to be there for each other when there's a need. The kind of friends we all would like to have. There's action, deception and danger
when greed and delusion are allowed to control a person. There's also a compelling love story to make it all worthwhile.

let me tell you, don't start this book thinking you'll read a couple of chapters and lay it down and go to sleep. No siree. I started it at 8 p.m. and at 11:30, I'm thinking, I really need to go to sleep...just one more chapter...and that turned into The End at 12:40 a.m. So be warned.

Convenient Lies drew me in immediately. The book opened with Reagan McAdams taking her twelve-day-old baby and fleeing her husband. I had to find out why. Then I had to find out if she would escape his reach. And how Tom Brady (no, not that Tom Brady) would help her. And why did she run away from Tom in the first place? He was her one true love. Robin answers those questions and more in this taut, fast-paced suspense. Oh, and there's a search for gold coins that figures into the story. This was my first Robin Patchen book, but it won't be my last. In fact, I already have Twisted Lies downloaded.

This was a clean story all the way through. I loved the characters and the storyline was good. The suspense of waiting to find out who did it was just. Right.
