Tara Sivec is a USA Today best-selling author, wife, mother, chauffeur, maid, short-order cook, baby-sitter, and sarcasm expert. She lives in Ohio with her husband and two children and looks forward to the day when all three of them become adults and move out.

Oh... come on! If you don't find this book exciting and funny, we can't be friends! This is my favorite book in this series so far! Mr. Grumpy Daddy Uncle... Need I say more? Sivec hit this one out of the park. I laughed so much. When I wasn't laughing, I was giggling. Her wit and imagination know no bounds. Am I right? I thought for sure this series was done after that last book, but alas, Sivec found a way to keep this series going with lots of fun, hijinks, and laughter. I can't sing this book enough praises!

    I don’t know why I doubted Tara! I usually don’t get into older couple romances. 30s and 40s year old characters are my jam so the previous 4 books were right up my alley. Wasn’t sure about this one. Gosh I LOVED IT. Dean and Laura are such amazing characters. Laura is the type of woman and mom I wanna be lol! It’s perfection!

    With This Fling is about Laura Bennett - mother to Wren & Birdie, pseudo-mom to Tess, Emily, Bodhi, Palmer, Shepherd, and Quinn. She never says no when someone asks for her help, and she's not interested in men her own age since the disappointment of the one who fathered her children but left her a single mom 30 years ago.

    Birdie and Palmer's wedding is coming up, and while Palmer doesn't have a good relationship with the majority of his family, he loves his (half) Uncle Dean. Dean has spent his career as a club builder... that is, he designs and makes golf clubs. He's been transient by nature, never staying in one place very long. He was married once, years ago, and burned by the end of that marriage.

    They've got chemistry - and sparks - and Laura NEVER reacts this way to age appropriate men. Dean finds her attractive and manages to keep finding himself in her space, then helping with wedding issues and guests and island residents needing help. She's not used to anyone stepping up to help like this - not that her kids & their SOs wouldn't, but she likes the control.

    Lovely story of a whirlwind romance that changes both their lives for the best.

    Hot grandparents, cougars, and flings are all things I tend to avoid when reading romance, but I couldn’t resist a trip back to Summersweet, so… here we are! Did I find these characters relatable? Not in the slightest. This couple is the same age as my parents, so I might be a little mentally scarred from the steam, lol. But I loved returning to this excellent series and getting more of the light, sexy vibes it emits from every scene. It’s another low angst installment that’s got humor, heart, and a fulfilling HEA - and a very strong focus on the full cast of characters rather than just the couple.

    The story follows Laura (54), everyone's favorite single mom. She has spent the last thirty years raising her daughter, who is now getting married. It's putting some things into perspective for Laura - she's now the only one who isn't coupled up, because she closed off her heart years ago. Decades of having flings with younger guys has left Laura a little jaded, but one of the wedding guests has the potential to change everything. Laura has heard about "Uncle Dean" (57) for years, but she never imagined that the man would be so sexy and compelling in person. Neither one is looking for love, but it's not long before Dean is starting to fall for everything - and everyone - in Summersweet.

    I don't know how I feel about the fact that the steamiest book in this series features a couple my parents' age. Wait... yeah, I do know how I feel about that, lol. I definitely prefer reading about younger couples, but Laura and Dean are both worthy of their own HEAs, and it was great to see how perfectly they fit together. While their relationship is front and center, it did feel like the book was more about ALL of the couples we've read about in the past - there are only a few scenes where Laura and Dean are actually by themselves. The timeline is also pretty quick. But every book in Summersweet is quirky fun, with such a lighthearted, easygoing feel and plenty of humor. I don't know that I'd recommend this as a standalone, but if you've been following the series then it's certainly worth a read.

    Oh! This series just gets better and better!

    I was addicted to this series from the first book (Kiss my Putt - where we first meet Birdie and Palmer) and it was fantastic to read about them in this one. And all the characters I love from this author. I missed this world!

    This one was impossible to put down once I began reading, as this talented author writes in a way that puts me right there with the characters and their connections. I sincerely appreciated that this read was focused on Laura (the Mom in this world) and her attraction to an age appropriate (and smokin' hot) guy!

    While I did laugh several times throughout this read (because, c'mon...Bhodi, and Shepard's crafting... how can you NOT laugh?), I was surprised at the amount of hope I held for Dean and Laura, and their journey to their HEA. Their connection is steamy, and easy to connect with, and Dean is a wonderful book boyfriend!

    I sincerely recommend reading this series in order to get the most from the characters and the stories. This author consistently writes entertaining, creative and easy to enjoy books that are over too quickly for my liking.
    I am absolutely looking forward to the next one in this series.

    It's been a bit since we visited Summersweet Island, and the wait was sooo very worth it. I already love the crazy characters on this island and couldn't wait to return and visit them.

    Laura and Dean's story is filled with all the mayhem I expected ~ they ARE related to the residents we've met in previous novels, so it can't be any other way. It's also filled with emotions that I can relate to as a woman of the same generation as these two fabulous characters, who I now consider my favorite couple.

    Tara Sivec is one of my favorite authors and a must 1-click every time she has a new release. She writes the BEST rom-com and I can't get enough. She combines her fabulous sense of humor with heat and emotion and it's makes for a wonderful story that you get sucked into and don't want to get out of.

    I don’t normally gravitate towards stories where the main characters are in their 50’s, but this was a lot of fun.

    When her daughter announces she’s getting married, single and carefree Laura starts to reevaluate that maybe love and having someone wouldn’t be so bad. Queue Dean, the black sheep of his family, rides his way into this small town for a wedding and is immediately transfixed by his nephews soon to be mother-in-law. They both know it can’t work - she’s perpetually single and he travels for work and swore he’d never settle down, but they have a lot of tension filled fun along the way.

    I wish their conflict wasn’t lack of communicating their feelings, but I did enjoy seeing selfish Dean take control and give Laura-forever-taking-care-of-everyone, a chance to breathe, and I liked seeing Laura let him.
