Neither Zac nor Chris want a relationship.

It sort of sneaks up on them.

When forty-two-year-old Chris tells Zac of his intentions, Zac is intrigued.

“I don’t want to know what makes your engine tick—I wanna know what makes it purr. I wanna watch you, learn what your boundaries are, how far I can push them.”

And push them, he does. Each new experience is hotter than the last. Kinkier too.

But somewhere along with the way, Zac stops wanting to be ‘f***-buddies who don’t f***.’

    Wow...just...Wow, this book; "Watch and Learn by Ms. Wells" is really something! I bought it on a whim for something different to read and boy oh boy was I taken from the first page to the last. If this story does not get your blood pumping and your heart rate up then nothing will! I wish there were more scenes with family, maybe an actual scene of meeting them, but I also recognize that’s not a huge part of the book. The steamy scenes were fantastic and so well written!     I am not a fan of this trope but I am a fan of K.C. Wells, so I took a chance--and I'm glad I did. That's because it's so rare for me to agree with the portrayal of the MCs on the cover, and this is cover is perfect. If the cover was blank, you'd find that you could imagine Chris (in the background) and Zac looking exactly like this.

    This is helpful because the story itself involves role playing and age-gaps and relationship phobia and eventually heartfelt angst.

    I loved both of these men, I found the particular fetish of "just watching" far more erotic than I thought and zipped right through it.

    I liked this story when it was first released in the anthology Come Play but it was too short and I wanted more! I was so glad when Ms Wells decided to expand and rerelease it.

    There is more feeling and sexiness to Chris & Zac’s story. I love the ‘non-traditional’ relationship that develops between the MCs. While I know there are people in the real world who have this type of relationship, I have only read one or two books that have it and this one is VERY well written.

    It's gay positive with kink.

    So, there's on guy who's 22 (Zac) and another who's 42 (Chris) but their chemistry makes the age gap inconsequential.

    tbh this book had me at, “I don’t want to know what makes your engine tick—I wanna know what makes it purr.”

    Zac's thing is to watch. Sound dull? Oh hell no! The things he watches are varied and sexy af as Chris takes him to parties (not the cocktail kind!).

    But there is an endearing relationship between these two men - a caring and generosity which touches the heart (as well as other places).

    What's extra good is that Zac doesn't like anal - too many m/m romances treat this as the be all and end all. There is so much more and these two explore a lot of options.

    It's a super quick read. I definitely wanted more!
    This is the first book I've read by this author - I suspect her other books will find their way onto my TBR pile.

    Talk about hot! For a shorter length novel, this one really hits the mark. Chris helps Zac explore the world of kink, helping him find what he likes given he's just about ready to give up on sex all together, having only experienced vanilla sex and not found anything that he really liked. The exploration is fun, sexy and definitely erotic. This book packs a lot of different kinks into one novel with finesse and acceptance. For Zac, there is definitely a bit of "your kink is not my kink" at some points, but his character was accepting even if he didn't understand.

    Beautifully written, and definitely a book I'd recommend if you're not afraid to explore a multitude of kinks without a major focus on one (except for voyeurism).
