    Review: We're All Thieves is a fun paranormal adventure with pirates, beasts, magic, and a lot of steamy scenes. Capturing Jag should have been the high point for the captain of the pirates, Skylar, but something about him just makes her uneasy - down there. Jag is wanted by the high council for stealing a powerful magical item. The council is a bunch of bloodsuckers (literally) who protect their part of the world for their own benefit. They don't like the fact they were stolen from and that Jag has this power that none of them have successfully wielded. Oh, and there is a rebel faction who live outside the council's protection who are not too happy with their lot in life and want revenge.

    We're All Thieves started out strong with the telling of the pirates who capture Jag and their captain who begins to be conflicted between treasure and the feelings inspired by Jag. The middle of the book drags a little for me. I think it's like an action movie. You know, when the characters are required to tell you what is going on and show a little emotional conflict or else the movie doesn't make sense and it's just a bunch of people shooting guns and chasing each other in cool cars. I say that because the last 50% of the book was on fire in all ways - sex, action, conflict, romance, and sex (yes I said it twice because there is more than twice the amount than the first half of the book). No longer hampered by explaining themselves everyone's story takes off.

    The book ends in a cliffhanger, but that kinda works for it. The author leaves you just on the edge.

    This is definitely a fantasy romance book, with pirates, magic and lots of sex. Hard to go wrong with that combination!

    I felt that the overall story with well done, with lots of action and intrigue. The fantasy setting with magic and monsters was also quite interesting, well detailed with some unique aspects not commonly found in other fantasy settings. I am looking forward to exploring their world further in future books. And the sex (once the characters decide to give in to their urges) is copious and detailed.

    The story is told from multiple viewpoints and that does bring up my one complaint about the narrative. More than once, we are treated to the same scene from two different viewpoints. Usually this doesn't bother me, but in this story, you got to revisit the exact same scene, with the exact same dialog (and seemingly the exact same pent up emotions) just from a different viewpoint. I felt these mirror viewpoints did not adequately move the story forward and just dragged.

    Other than that minor complaint, I really enjoyed the story, the characters and the world they live in. I look forward to future installments (which better be forthcoming because the author definitely did not wrap everything up in this one).

    Strongly recommended.

    for honest review. This is a story of adventures . Jag who has the crest of miracles on his chest and is being hunted is caught by skylar a pirate and this is there adventure. While leonette is a rouge from the underground of rythwell trying to take down the wards and over through the coal prince.

    I discovered this new to me author by chance through an arc offer. The story features a strong heroine and hero who are on a collision course to destiny when she captures him in order to collect a reward. Skylar's plans seem simple enough, until she comes face to face with Jag. A man determined to chart his own course, his sheer force of will and personality incite undeniable feelings of attraction. Skylar's plans are definitely thrown of course by Jag, as they battle each other, enemies and fate.
