Stevie

My Fairy Godmother had a wicked sense of humor, of that I was certain.

The first time I met Jackson Hart, I was on all fours with my ass in the air.

At the time of our meet not so cute, I didn't know that the handsome man with the most captivating blue eyes was the wealthy, charismatic, and hot as sin hotelier, oh and my new boss.

Well, technically he is my boss's boss. Just skimming the company manual was maybe not the best idea.

But, I digress. Working at Hart Hotels & Spa was a temporary plan.

Now, that plan has changed. Jackson Hart not only wanted me in his bed and in his life, he wanted me working alongside him.

Some offers are too good to pass up.

Jackson

Premium scotch aged to perfection, making money before sunrise, nine holes of golf and interesting conversation. Those are the things most known about me. Toss in a leggy brunette or a stunning redhead at a society event for good measure and there's a story to amuse the public. But, my story goes deeper—to the past that I left behind.

Sooner or later past and present collide. I never dreamed Stevie Brockman would be part of both.

3½ StarsListen, I teetered with the book. On one hand, it's a fantastic story. On the other, well, I had a couple of issues. Read on for my thoughts...The story over all is fantastic. I devoured it. Who doesn't love a boss/employee romance. That whole forbidden fruit fantasy is always a treat to read. From their first meet, to their first "date", to the rollercoaster this book takes you on, I really enjoyed this story from the start.Where it all went a little sideways for me was the characters. Usually, if I don't like the characters, I have a hard time with the overall book. Fortunately for me, the characters didn't completely ruin it for me. I did not like Stevie. Not. At. All. Even for her age, she was immature and all over the place. She gave me whiplash with her flip-flopping personality. I kind of liked Jackson. I didn't dislike him. I just felt for his age, there were times where he seemed to be a little too immature himself.Even without my seal of approval on the characters separately, they worked together. Things do fall in place. The world is righted, even in the ups and downs these characters have. Their relationship eventually won me over. I just think I would have loved this book had Stevie's character had a better hold on who she is.

This is the first book I have read from this author and it definitely won’t be the last. I loved Jax and Stevie from the second I met them. Individually they were great people and together a fabulous couple. Even though Stevie is several years younger than Jax she never came across as too young or whiny. She definitely held her own with Jax and considering he was a very successful man who owned several hotels that is saying something. Jax helped Stevie get a job with his company, a higher position than what she originally had, and even though Stevie felt she was unqualified for the position she actually did a great job and held her own.
Even though Stevie didn’t feel like an equal with Jax they actually had a lot in common namely their pasts. They both came from difficult family backgrounds which seemed to follow them into their relationship. I liked how even though it started to cause a little trouble between them they didn’t let it keep them apart. I loved the epilogue and it was actually a perfect ending for this couple. Glad it ended the way it did.

Wicked Gentleman by Christy Pastore is a contemporary, workplace, age gap romance told in first person, dual POV.

When Stevie’s car breaks down, she has no idea that Jax, the sexy stranger who helps her, is her new boss. He begins to pursue her and although she doesn’t think a relationship with her boss is the best idea, she has a hard time resisting his charms.

Will Stevie and Jax be able to date secretly? Will they be able to stay professional at the workplace? Or will Jax give Stevie special treatment? What will happen when people find out about their relationship?

Overall, I enjoyed the story. There was humor, heat, and plenty of drama - an entertaining read.

Jax and Stevie are Wickedly Good!!! Christy does such an excellent job with building characters you're going to love, hate and cheer for. Starting a new book is always a chore for me, it's kinda my do or die phase to whether or not I will read it, but this had me sucked in and eager to read from the start. Stevie, college grad working as a caddy when her dream job falls through is having a rough go when her car dies at the swanky resort she works at, alongside her irritating ex-boyfriend, the golf pro. Enter the dashing businessman who's not afraid to shake off his Armani to lend her a hand and set the stage for their story. Jax is the guy we all dream about; rich, handsome, honest and has a past he's determined to leave there. Stevie is brash, sassy, sexy and the take-no-sh$t, make it on her own woman that doesn't need Jax but can't get enough of him. Can they work side by side and keep their relationship their own? Will f'd up family, ex's or co-workers be their end? A Binge-Worthy-Must-Read!!!

I love that Christy writes stories about characters that I want to be friends with. She has an amazing way of creating a world readers want to be a part of. Stevie is a super strong woman who has lived a crazy life but doesn't let it define her. Jax is a man every woman wants for themselves! He has his own demons but lives to make Stevie happy. Who doesn't want that? And can we talk about those sparks?!? I mean the heat between these two made me blush a little! I have been a fan of Christy's since her first book and was excited to read this story. It did not disappoint!

If you’re a fan of sweet hero’s that know what they want and go after it then you need to meet Jackson. He was so sweet and did everything he could to show Stevie how important she was to him. This story was sweet with very little angst.

First time I've read a book from this author. As soon as I started reading the first few pages I new was gonna be a good book and I was not disappointed. Its hot your romance. Drama. Fun. Happy and sad. I am a little disappointed with the ending. I feel like it was rushed and maybe it could of actually had a 2nd book for how they went to move on with fighting for the politics and stevie says yes to being Mrs Hart. Other than that I did really enjoy it. Very good book. Really well written. And for that I decided to give it full 5 stars. Will look forward to more books by this author.

This was quite fluffy, and I don't really good my attention. I didn't feel a connection with either main character and didn't buy into their chemistry or love story. I also felt like a lot of side stories there thrown that could have been worked into the plot but werent and were also solved very easily.

What a story Stevie had lost her job and was nearly out of money when she finally got a new job. After a bad first day and bumping into her ex her car started then stopped. She was on her hand and knees with her ass in the air when Jax came upon her. After the initial meeting events go better. This is a good read that I could not put down.
