Wild Irish Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 1,061 ratings

On a trip to Ireland to complete a bucket list, Delaney is ready to cross off “kiss a stranger.” But when it leads to a white-hot night with tattooed rocker Cillian, the longing that follows is more than either expected…

“WILD IRISH was PURE PERFECTION!! This sparkling gem, which is chock full of adventure, toe-curling swoon, angsty emotion and breathtaking passion, tantalizes the senses, tugs at the heartstrings and provides the ULTIMATE romantic escape.” Epic Romance Reviews

I went searching for trouble and I found it. I just didn’t expect to find it in the form of Cillian Gallagher.

The gorgeously tatted lead singer and guitarist of Wild Irish, Cillian is everything I’ve always tried to stay away from. He’s wild and dangerous. And exactly what I need to cross off number four on my bucket list.

Kiss a complete stranger.

It should have been that simple. But I wasn’t prepared for the scorching heat that would ignite a passion, leaving us both gasping for air.

It was never meant to be more than a fling.

I didn’t expect that when I left Ireland, I’d be leaving a piece of my heart, or how our lives would be intertwined even when we were thousands of miles apart.

One last request.

One life-changing list.

One month of no regrets.

I ran from my boring, simple life, straight into the arms of trouble.

The thing with trouble is that it has a way of finding you, no matter where you go.

A stand alone read with a HEA. Set in Ireland this story is a bit intense, romantic, and very HOT. When you start to read this story remember this young man is suffering from one of the greatest hurts out there. He is devastated about the truth he believes. He is angry, mad, devastated, and angry again. He acts out and he is trying to self-destruct. That is his mental condition when he meets the heroine of the story.

The heroine is a young woman that has her own issues. She has just lost her sister to a horrible disease. Her fiancé is caught having sex with another woman. She has been left go from her job due to down sizing. She feels she is at the end of her rope. Her sister has left her with a bucket list. Since she was unable to make any of these things happen, she wants her sister to do everything on the list. So, she boards a plane for Ireland, leaving everything but her sorrow back in the states.

These two meet and start down a wild road as they journey to their HEA. They don't really know each other but they know how they feel. however, both are still hurting and have a long way to go to get their lives back on track. There is a lot of drama as he works through his issues and she returns to the states to get her life settled. I really enjoyed this story. This guy is a Wild Irish!! He is a little bit uncouth, he has a lot of anger from a long list of issues, he really looks out for himself and he doesn't let anyone get close. That is all on the outside. Inside he is a good guy and he wants what everyone else wants...to love and be loved. A good read and one that is hard to put down. I definitely recommend this story. It is very SEXY so if that is an issue for you, you may want to pass. For the rest of us, you will enjoy this wild sexy Irishman.

I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 8/22/17

I really actually enjoyed this one. I loved the Irish setting, the landmarks as well as the backstory with, I believe it was Foxfire Mountain. The one where it's customary to bring a stone with you on your journey to add it to the cairns at the top. I enjoy little tidbits like that. When books are set somewhere with such rich histories, I always expect authors to impart some little known or known factoids about that place, and I wasn't disappointed. Although, I will say that I kind of wanted a bit more Ireland descriptions instead of the cottage and the pubs.

So, we have our two main characters, Delaney and Cillian (like Killian, only with a 'C'), both of whom are running from something and end up finding each other. You have Delaney who's only visiting Ireland to fulfill her dead sister's bucket list, and then you have Cillian who's angry at his brother's alleged betrayal, and pissed off at his friends for siding with Owen (the brother) instead of Cillian. He's in a popular Irish band called 'Wild Irish,' but they're on break while Cillian holds a grudge and pushes everyone away.

Delaney is driving on a small road one night and, being a newbie to Irish streets (not to mention sitting on the opposite side of the car in general), she's basically white-knuckling the steering wheel when someone -- Cillian, the ass -- takes a corner too wide and runs her off the road. She totals her rental car, and Cillian, knowing that he's the one at fault but trying to say otherwise, takes Delaney back to his little cottage to give her shelter instead of letting her sleep in said car during a rainstorm.

As with most romance novels, it doesn't take long before their attraction grows stronger and comes to a head thanks to Cillian's short fuse regarding other men and his brother. They have the inevitable fling, and despite saying, "It's just sex," we all know good and damn well that it's not. Cillian decides to help Delaney with her sister's bucket list, which lasts all of one day before they decide to just wing it and Cillian drives down one coast and up the other, showing her "the real Ireland" as only an Irishman could.

Then comes the inevitable separation. Delaney's ex-fiance shows up, claiming they're still engaged, and Cillian -- the ass -- grabs on to that lie with both hands and uses it to end their fling and pushes her away. Hearts are broken, and next thing we know, it's been four months and Wild Irish are set to start their North American tour, and of course Chicago (Delaney's home) is on the map as they make their way west.

While I did highly enjoy this story, I didn't, however, buy the fact that Cillian's ex-girlfriend was important enough to ruin a relationship between brothers. He mentions throughout the book that he either didn't love Molly (the ex), or he didn't think he loved her, yet she was important enough to put a wrench in a family who only have each other left (mother ran out, Cillian took it the hardest.

I also think that Cillian could have benefited with more groveling. I understand that their love runs deep, but Delaney forgave him a bit more quicker than I would have liked considering Cillian branded her as a "cheater" thanks to her ex and didn't even give her the benefit of the doubt.

Both of these main characters were frustrating at times, what with their jumping to conclusions, but honestly, when it comes to romance novels, I never really expect much. That may sound harsh, but I don’t look to romance novels as some great piece of writing. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a hopeless romantic, and with Wild Irish, I’m a sucker for tattoos and rock stars, and when you combine them, I’m a goner. Be that as it may, though, it’s nothing profound, but I enjoyed the running theme of “finding happiness.”
